What`s your avatar from, Kabbage?

Well it's no No-God-No-Cat, obviously, but there was apparently a contest on WhiteChapel a little while back to draw your version of Sekhmet, the Egyptian goddess of war and famine whose wrath was only ever deterred when, well:

Quote
In the myth, Sekhmet's blood-lust was not quelled at the end of battle and led to her destroying almost all of humanity, so Ra had tricked her by turning the Nile as red as blood (the Nile turns red every year when filled with silt during inundation) so that Sekhmet would drink it. The trick was, however, that the red liquid was not blood, but wine so that it resembled blood, making her so drunk that she gave up slaughter and became an aspect of the gentle Hathor to some moderns.

Fiona Staples, an artist I follow, linked to her own submission, a modern take wherein she's a fighter pilot who drops biological weapons in some kind of war, perpetuating the generational seeds of hate in such a way as only the vindictive indignity of chemical warfare can. I mean I like the art style and the colors a lot, but I also just really dig the concept that a modern Sekhmet would take the only position we have these days (the first world bomber pilot) where she could directly dispense the largest amount of suffering on the widest group of people. If she was a tyrant or general or something, she'd never get her murderous kicks first-hand.

I also liked how when she's not flying bombing runs, she's getting hammered. It's the only time she is not actively perpetuating war.

Also Mongrel for the love of god please get a new avatar and sig IT IS TIME

I don't know why he removed the middle panel from his signature, though.

I figured it was because the germ warfare panel changes her from GODDESS OF DEATH to more of a straight badass fighter pilot.

I'm torn between getting a sprite rip from Melty Blood as my sig to complete the theme, or maintaining my no sig because sigs are stupid stance.

If you're considering it, they can't be that stupid.

You weren't around when sigs were first introduced. You don't know their legacy.

Not enough porn there yet. Only a few and none of them are likely to get anyone sued.

Man, all I want to do now is make weird patterns of these guys marching across the screen. It'd be really easy. Just get unit filler graphics to create the offsets you want horizontally.

What the fuck is wrong with me?
OK. Goodnight.

I wish I was better at art. I have some pretty nifty ideas for an avatar/signature combo, but they require photoshop and drawing skills. This will work for now.
