If you catch a Poke from a Friend Safari, it has a chance to have a Hidden Ability and will always have 2 perfect IVs. This and a Destiny Knot is the basis of PERFECT IVS if you hate your free time.
But if you are half-casual and half-asshole like me, you just check a Nature chart(I want my Physical Guy to be Adamant), grab a Ditto(Pokemon Village or a Friend Safari, can always piggy-back /vp/ on 4chan I guess) with the nature ideally, Everstone it and wait for a kid with the Ability/Nature desired. I got an Adamant and a Modest Ditto off a casual safari from a /vp/ thread, just catching the first seven Dittos I saw. EV train him(Super Training is mindless if more efficient than hunting single mons) and then Level Him to complete his move-set/evolving.
The big money is that you can use any pokemon with sweet scent(Oddish, Combee, Bulbasaur) to summon Hordes and if you
know where to go you can toggle the new Exp Share on and EV train 4-5 guys at once. I use a generic Combee to summon and a Surfer to murder.
Clear the single player Battle Mansion a few times(48 BP per 20 round + boss clear) and then grab 4ish of each Power item you intend to use. If you have a Pokerus guy, spread that shit around. Battle Mansion uses traditional post-game RNG hacks so I use Mega Garchomp and Aegislash to sweep. Mega leads every time, Aegis comes in and goes "LOL STEEL" once the RNG starts sending 3 Ice teams at me. Three clears to set up my EV Factory, got Pokerus from /vp/ again.
Horde + Pokerus + Power Item + Exp Share = 50 EVs per Horde killed to up to 5 mons at once, or one stat maxed in 5 matching Horde Kills. Ten times faster than Super Training IMO.
There's a guy at the Poke Center in the Friend Safari post-game city that will judge IVs. "This X is great! These stats just can't be beat!" indicate 31s. IVs are too boring for me though so as long as I can Everstone the nature I breed about 5 guys with Ability/Nature, judge them and then keep the best one and raise it.
fishing chaining is weeeeeeeeeeeird.
Fish Chaining is mindlessly easy.
All this nonsense is part of the QoL Gen 6 has received. There's also a lot of nonsense about making it easier to get shinies.
