I never ragequit, I just get bored and leave at the end of matches.  But Autobalancing is almost enough to make me quit when it happens repeatedly.  I'm amazed Zara doesn't ragequit with the amount of times he gets shuffled across teams whenever I've played with/against him.

When I get stuck on a really gimped team, I like to be a pyro and spray fire in front of any snipers who are scoped in.

I basically turn into W+M1 Pyro if things are getting truly hopeless.  It's an easy way to still play some kind of game without a lot of wasted effort.

Granted, by jumping from server to server like a blast processed hummingbird, I'm creating my own self-fulfilling prophecy.

Considering that you're probably creating a team imbalance every time you do so, yeth.

In my experience, the teams not on their mics are the side getting stomped for the majority.

I'm obviously talking about micspam, which is a lot worse than mic silence.  By spamming the thing you remove even the potential for meaningful voice communication to be used.  That's the team that gets stomped on and then indecently violated.

It does. The little red plusses along the beam are replaced with little yellow sparks.

Also, when the charge is ready the gun gets decidedly more electical dischargy looking and less condensationy like the regular medigun with it's uber charge does.

Plus, incase you didn't know, the kritzkrieg's nozzle actually looks different, with a different shape, no tape wrapped around it, and a little yellow window on either side of it. The backpack and hosing all looks the same though, which if you ask me is a mistake. I think it would be a cool gameplay mechanic if it was easier to recognize what medigun medics have, but I guess Valve wants that to be stealthier.

I think it's more a matter of the backback being actually part of the medic himself, and hence not as simple to change as the prop they're holding.

Mostly I join the winning team when I start losing too much. I don't care if it's unfair or cowardice or whatever.

My RAGEQUITS are reserved for whenever I fall victim to my greatest nemesis: Auto-Balancing.

I used to have that problem until I noticed only dead people are rebalanced.

When the 5-second warning comes up, hide and don't get out until someone is sent to the other team.

I ragequit exceedingly rarely.  Usually only when I am absolutely fucking sure that person on the other team with the most points is fucking cheating.  FUCK YOU!  YOU WERE JUST HIT WITH 4 CRITROCKETS, AND 2 CRIT STICKIES AND YOU'RE A FUCKING SCOUT WITH NO MEDIC ON YOUR TEAM AND YOU KILLED ME FROM ACROSS THE MAP WITH THE SCATTER-GUN 5 TIMES IN A ROW AND I HAVE YET TO SEE YOU FIRE ONCE WHEN YOU DIDN'T CRIT!  FUCK YOU  :fuckyou:

Even better would be if the announcer could, er, announce the fact.

Yesterday, I was stabbed in the back while charged at 99%. On the next run, my uber'd n00b heavy just stood behind the cart, one yard away from a sentry farm. During the next round, three teammates switched from spy, to engineer, when there were already two of us.

My response? They'll learn. I'll learn. We all learn.

With Auto-Balancing, my problem is that I can't conjure up a better alternative, or any major fixes outside of maybe disabling the system during the last minute of gameplay.

I'm not too bugged by auto-balance during gameplay.  It's when my team wins the round and we all have a victorious slaughter of the surviving opponents and then suddenly I find myself switched even after not dying that I get annoyed.

I can't recall ever seeing it, not that I ever paid close attention.  It could be that I don't recall it because Engineers tend to have long lives attending to their robot masters, or it could be that Valve recognized what incredible bullshit it would be if your defenses came down due to an autobalance.

Yeah, I think there are some limiters. For instance, I never see the bottom-scoring guy on the team or the top-scoring guy on the team get autobalanced.

Also, I'd like to see Engineers get auto-balanced, but instead of destroying their defenses it just switches them to their new team affiliation.  Because that would be hilarious.

What'll make me Ragequit a server?

1) I am playing Defensive Sniper on Goldrush. I am the only player to rush the cart at the final point and try to kukri people off it as Soldiers/Pyros/Heavies/Demos try to shoot through the bombcart to get that one pyro crouching it home for the team. I die ineffectually, cart goes home, we lose.

Repeat x2.

2) Ohhh look at that I have joined an exciting server with decent team and point spreads and it's a super cool custom PL map that is excellently designed. I join the offensive team and we push to the enemy cap.

That is impossible to approach due to, get ready for it, an uphill sentry farm. :THATWAY:

Yeah better luck tomorrow TF2 client.

I have gotten autobalanced as an engineer before, to be fair I was dead though my sentry was not.
