meanwhile, in up the mountains of Norcal, I spent the day inside a cloud

a very windy, wet cloud

power was out for about 6-7 hours during the day

I went outside and pretended it was the end of the world because it was fucking cool looking

And yet you always find yourself drawn back to that place; Silent Hill...

I am jealous of your weather.

In vaguely weather related news, it's now cold enough that I should be turning on this combination a/c and heater to heat my tiny hovel apartment. Unfortunately, whenever it's on the whole place smells of burning. Like a zillion bugs got in there and are now studiously letting themselves be burned alive.

It snowed the slushy kind of snow here yesterday.  Now it's just fucking cold.  I hate the cold.

Must be from the half-black thing.

Norcal really was fucking crazy yesterday. It was a nice change of pace.

It snowed up at my parents' house yesterday. As I traveled south, it turned to cold rain, then just cold wind.

It's cold.  ::(:

FUCKING HELL It is now 80 degrees and super humid and there are mosquitoes everywhere.  Two months of rain and it is still not proper weather for my scarf.  My precious scarf.

The low-cloud thing happened down here too.  We drove through one on the way back, and the radio kept intermittently emitting static even when we turned it off.  I hear that is A Thing in some video game.

We're back to cold here.  The weather is on an emotion roller coaster of temperature changes.

It's been in the low to mid-80's here for the past few days. What the fuck, November?

Dude, it's pleasantly warm.  73 in Fort Worth, and supposed to be clear in the low-to-mid 70s for the rest of the week.

So okay.  As October rolled in, we were STILL getting triple-digit temperatures.

After awhile, it mellowed to 90's.

Two weeks ago, it hit the 80's.

Last week gave the 70's a miss and went straight to the 60's.  So, you know, we got to go from just-warm-enough-to-be-uncomfortable to just-cool-enough-to-be-uncomfortable, without the actually nice weather in-between.

This week it's back up in the 90's.

You know what?  Fuck you, El Nino.

Its been freezing and snowing on and off here since about two weeks before Halloween. I love that I live in a place that will freeze for six months out of the year....

By the time I finished using the snowblower last night, my work had been destroyed by the flurries that had since become a full snowstorm.

Nature, go choke on something.  ::(:

Living in south Texas means that snow can still be magical.  Suck it, sad sacks who have to deal with hard freezes and feet of snow.
