Texas' fever broke today.  It is massively pleasant today.

Pleased as punch.

It's actually nice outside, I don't know what to do. My body has forgotten how to process temperatures below 95 degrees.

It was only 100 at 9 PM, so my girlfriend and I finally got to go for an evening walk in the park for the first time in months!

I've never seen a summer like this.  It storms but it doesn't rain.  Just thunder and dust.  We've set a record for number of days over 110, and you can tell it hasn't rained just by looking at my year-over-year water bill.  And my lawn's STILL patchy.

On the plus side, even though there's still no rain with it, tonight we've got a very pleasant breeze and no dust.  Pity it's blown all the clouds away.

Still and all, too nice a night NOT to take my bike around the block.  I should go get on that.

Turns out I've still got sore muscles from taking it out yesterday (when it was about 100), but enjoyable nonetheless!

The spiderwebs that have overgrown the door to the storage room where I keep my bike, as well as the table and chairs on my back porch, are also a testament to what the weather's been like.

Lots and lots of spiderwebs on the front porch.  I'll wait until the weather cools down a bit more before I clean them up, since during the warm months it's good to have spiders around to eat insects.

(On the other hand, I really haven't seen a lot of flies, gnats, or mosquitoes this year, which I suspect is also a result of the drought.)

...what's a good way to clean up spiderwebs all over your front porch, anyway?  Hose?

Vacuum cleaner is good for spiderwebs.

Texas is still in whatever fuck long drought we've been in since forever, and we're about to hit a record of days over 100. Did we enter a second Dust bowl in addition to the second Great Depression?

Depends on if that was Oklahoma that just rolled past your porch or not.

Ever since I read xxxHolic I've always felt nervous clearing out spiderwebs.

Concurring with Thad, temperatures are finally turning pleasant.  I can step out the door at 9 pm and not feel like I'm baking.

Speaking of weather in Wisconsin, the sun is being blocked out by Minnesota's huge wildfire that's going on. Most of Wisconsin has a crappy haze everywhere and it smells like burning outside. At least the wind is supposed to shift after today.
