Have I mentioned that, since turning 30, I've developed the mutant ability to get a splitting goddamn headache every time it gets cloudy?

My morning commute: 15 minutes

Duration of this morning's brief, but intense blizzard: 15 minutes

Of course.

Ooops, the temperature dropped like 15 degrees in less than 8 hours. And now EVERYTHING is covered in black ice.

Goody!

Aaand now I can see my breath.

When was our last hundred-degree day?  Like three weeks ago?

Remember back when we used to have nice weather after it stopped being godawful hot?

Remember when there were four seasons?

Nope.

Did it go from three down to two?

It was always two.  It's just that the second one sucks now too.

In news that I'm sure surprises no one, it's freezing ass cold up here in Wisconsin.

Snow was fun, and between asshole plows and assholes parking on my side of the street I have to break up foot-and-a-half tall walls of snow tomorrow.

It's not even below freezing here (1°C right now, and it's 2AM), and the streets hardly have any snow at all. I'd take some of yours if I could, this is bizarre.

Our lows have been in the mid-30's.  I know there are a hell of a lot of places that are colder, but not very many where it was also 100 degrees six weeks ago.

I am now beginning to ask serious questions such as, how long can my puppy hold her bladder?  I've been taking her out when I get up at 6 AM, but I bet I can wait an hour until the sun is actually up and both of us would be much happier.  (She's not much happier about going out when it's cold than I am.  In fact I've stopped getting up in the middle of the night to take her out after one particular 2:30 AM where I took her to the door and she looked at me, turned around, and went back to bed.)

On the other hand, if I took her out at 7 that would mean taking her out after I shower, which comes with its own set of drawbacks.

This may open a dark door to dark places, but supplementing going outside with puppy pads is sometimes the only viable option.

Nah, she's 6 months old and well past the pissing indoors stage.  If she really needed to go out, she'd let me know.

And then today we set a record high.

While it's nice to get some warm weather again after the misery of the last couple weeks, I wish that instead of caroming wildly between unseasonably cold weather and unseasonably warm weather we could just have, you know, regular seasonal weather.  Or even just what usually passes for it in these parts.

Besides, if you hear the phrase "record high temperature" and don't automatically flinch, then you're not from around here.

I used to flinch at those but then I stopped being awake during the day and it fixed everything forever
