being from the north, when it snows in oklahoma i just kind of like to lean back and watch the hilarity. As soon as the snow starts, everyone rushes out, fills up their gas tanks, stocks up on bottled water and canned goods, and calls out from work. It's like they're gearing up for an endless winter that will leave the world covered feet deep in snow for the rest of their lives.

we call six inches of snow a blizzard out here.

Though, to be fair, MCE wasn't wrong in being unprepared, it literally went from 70 degrees to snow in less than 24 hours.

Hey my old Ford Aspire was pretty close. We used to call it the Assfire. I wanted to get a reverse flame job on it at one point.

I know I know. I wasn't legitimately mocking anyone so much as trying to bring back the old fathers of the revolution theme these boards used to have. Nothing against Kabbage's bronto theme, I just liked that old theme too.

yeah so there was a blizzard on Friday-Saturday (second one this winter), and now we're getting MORE snow just a few days afterwards.  There are still tons of roads left unplowed, and this is just making things worse.

People are calling this the snowpocalypse, or snowmageddon, but I think it's beyond that.  This is snowkulhaups.

SoCal's freaking out because it won't stop raining.

I come from the desert and I think people might be overreacting.

Damn man, that's a lotta snow.

I think I may've gotten lucky this year.  We've barely had any snow at all in the southwest corner of Wyoming.

It was covered, so really it's not like THAT.

Lucky here, or so I'm told.  Apparently DC stole all of our snow.

Also people in Ottawa are laughing about how the plow operators aren't working as it's "too dangerous".  Not too sure if that's really the situation or not, but it's what the guys are saying.

I guess the snow is chest-height now and there is an actual ban on non-government/emergency traffic in Maryland.

I'm divided between thinking that'd be ...sweet because I don't want to go to work today, or thinking that'd suck because I need money.

Edit: Forgot I can't use AWSUM.  Damn it Kazz!  :MENDOZAAAAA:

In the midst of a Texas blizzard. Snow is getting as high as 1 or 2 inches.  If I don't log on in a week I might be dead.

Right - had a chest-high snowfall once on the left coast in 96.  I hope you are well-stocked, have some wine on hand (for trade), a shovel, good neighbours, and something to go tobogganing on.

Depending on how well prepared you are, it could be the most awesomest thing ever.

Quit hogging all the snow, guys. The streets are clear and I can see the grass in my yard. ::(:
