Weather forecasted for today was anywhere from 8-14 inches of snow.  Classes were not canceled, and right before I left for my 1:25 class, I called the stormline again just to check--"Afternoon classes have been canceled from 2:15 onward..."  Bastards.

The walk to class was not that bad; it was cold, but not really treacherous because there was only a few inches of snow on the ground and the sidewalks had been sort of cleared (there was only maybe an inch and a half of snow).  The walk home was much worse--the sidewalks were not cleared again, and in one hour there must've been at least another 2 inches of snow.  I had an assmar attack on the way home--HIGH FIVE!

My school was closed the last two days because of a threat of an ice storm.  Seriously, yesterday classes were canceled at 8 in the morning not because there was snow or ice on the ground, but because at some point there might be.  Today classes were put off until 4 because last night we had ice but right now it's all mostly gone.

What the... You can't have it both ways, Whosane!

Quote from: NYTimes
WASHINGTON — The capital flew into a bit of a tizzy when, on his first full day in the White House, President Obama was photographed in the Oval Office without his suit jacket. There was, however, a logical explanation: Mr. Obama, who hates the cold, had cranked up the thermostat.

“He’s from Hawaii, O.K.?” said Mr. Obama’s senior adviser, David Axelrod, who occupies the small but strategically located office next door to his boss. “He likes it warm. You could grow orchids in there.”

It was 80 today.

I got sunburned.

I'm sure those of you fighting blizzards are jealous, but frankly I've never seen a "winter" like this one in my life and I'm expecting a summer to match.  This feels a lot like that whole "catastrophic climate change" thing I keep hearing about.

It was 80 today.

I'm not in Arizona or anything, but it's been 70-73 for the last few days here and yeah, that's really odd for this time of year. Especially since just last week my car was frozen over every morning.

...A glance at weather.com tells me that it's going to go down to a high of 50 in a day or two. Weird.

On my way home from work just now, I saw rain, sheet lightning, and fog...AT THE SAME TIME. I felt like Lewis Black for a moment.

Shit, that's nothing. Remember a few years ago, how the entire spring was cold and it snowed once or twice even in May and the beginning of June?

Now THAT was aggravating!

Uh. It occurs to me that we're probably not dispelling any myths about Canada by having this discussion here.

Dear Valued Torontonian Customer,

We would like to inform you today that we believe your missing luggage has been found in British Columbia.  The contents include Sunny Skies, Calm winds and a high of 15-20 Degrees Centigrade.  In line with our recent shifts in Baggage handling protocol in the interests of saving money in this time of economic uncertainty, we regret to inform you that we cannot courier your system of High Pressure.

For further requests of information or to arrange pickup at your own expense, please contact one of our many brilliant operators who are standing by in Lahore at 1 (888) 689-2247 and they will do everything to brighten your day through making you wate and hear the endless butchering of the English language while your perpetually rising tensions remind them of how much they hate their lives, despite graduating from some of the finest Indian schools with honours.  They will do the best they can to assist you, despite having no power and little information at all.

Our most sincere apologies,

IM Smelly, Mrs

It clears 90 every god damned day here in Bangalore. The city already smells like an armpit. Adding to that, our class rooms don't have A/C.

Neither does our Dissection Hall. Stupid India.

What on earth are you doing in India shoe?
