Expand on this!

Specifically, on how Cortex Command as a functioning game and now a graphical demo actually panned out. It has always fascinated me yet I've never really felt compelled to get the game.

it's not a finished game and probably never will be but you can play 2-player vs where one player's goal is to kill the brain. it turns out: in a game where you can just tunnel through the ground/concrete/steel with a digging tool, this isn't very much fun.

I encourage you all to investigate Vechs' "Race for the Wool" maps.  Imagine two long islands floating in the middle of nothingness, each a mirror of each other.  There's a channel between them about a chunk wide, and Vechs has built redstone contraptions between the lanes designed to fuck with the other side.  You're not allowed to enter the void between the two lanes, but you can shoot arrows and built TNT cannons.  The idea is to complete the puzzles within your lane to retrieve the wool blocks while simultaneously taking effort to hamper the other side's efforts to do the same.  If you subscribe to Coestar's youtube channel, you already know what I'm talking about, but if you're not, check it out.  It's pretty wacky.

What am I getting to in all this?  I really don't think that we as the Internet have scratched the surface of what Minecraft is capable of.

Photos from Heidi Klum's latest Halloween party

Why this is relevant to Sharkey is apparent in the first photo.

Just tried out the idea of using harm potions to clear out skeletons. Alas, harm actually heals them now. Of course, this being a videogame, thrown healing potions fuck them up as expected, and without the danger of hurting oneself with splashback. I'm actually kind of embarrassed I didn't think of it myself. It's way the hell faster.

Sharkey weighs in on Skyrim in his typical fashion.

The thing i most remember about Undying was using the rock to shove bonemonsters into corners over and over because i didn't want to spend pistol ammo on them. Also, a constant chorus of "Stuck. Jammed. Jammed." as i ran around Doom-humping all the walls and doors.

Semi-relatedly, is the phrase "I've invested over 60 hours of my life into this game and it feels like I've only started to scratch the surface for what it offers" something they told people to work into reviews? It's appeared verbatim in every one i've read.

I thought the site had been left fallow after he started working for 1up.

EDIT: Damn, that's the simplest HTML code I've seen on a modern website for probably over a decade.

I'm picturing an untrustworthy man in a bad suit assuring me that there are still plenty of miles left on that Dr. Mario joke.
