threes and sevens appear more often than other numbers in falsified documents iirc.  don't remember why, I might have just heard this on an episode of numb3rs or something.

It's probably because 3 and 7 are attractive prime numbers. 3 and 7 are used a lot in religions as well.

I always say "thank you" when I pick up a penny.

I try to avoid stepping on cracks, or if I have to step on them, I make sure that they are aligned with my heel.

I need to sit on the right side of any vehicle.

It must be very difficult to drive.

I do this, but more out of boredom than superstition.  That and I dislike the tactile feeling of putting my weight on a bisected plane.

Damn you Goemon.

 :nyoro~n: Fuck... I can't remember if 37 and 73 are prime numbers...

:whoops: They are! Thanks math it applet!

For a "fun" game when you're impossibly bored, get some friends together and guess 4+ digit primes.

Clock-related stuff (all numbers on clock the same or in sequence (11:11, 12:34) are times for wishes).  Also always noting you should never forget if the clock reads 9:11.

Also, always flip a penny that's heads-down when you find it.  But never take it.

We believe in one holy Catholic and Apostolic church.

We believe in one God, creator of all that is seen and unseen.

Something I forgot to mention.  I do "knock on wood", or whatever is close by, if someone is in danger of placing a jinx.

For instance, ESPN's baseball play-by-play guy says terrifyingly optimistic things, like last night Jason Varitek came up and he went "Man, the Red Sox would love him to hit a grand slam right now!" and I knocked on wood because what an asshole.

And if someone is pitching a no-hitter, you can't mention it.  You should do your best not to even fucking think about it.  (Unless it's the other team, and then you should mention it over and over again.)

Other side of the coin, sometimes I'll annoy my parents when the Patriots take a lead late in a football game by going "Man, they've got this thing locked up now, huh?  No way they can lose this one."

I am pretty sure ghosts exist but are much rarer than people think. Also I hate ghost hunting shows because they are a crock of shit.

Pretty sure I have seen a shadow person at least once. Just thought of it as a ghost, but reading this thread/that wiki page makes me realize it was probably a shadow person.

Ummm I believe in aliens but I also think they have never been here and maybe never will be.

I don't think I have any straightforward superstitions. I'm sort of afraid of a witch learning my name and gaining power over me, but the rational side of me knows that witches don't need your name to cast spells.

I'm one of the people who believes pretty strongly in mythical animals, but I am also fairly certain they're also dead. Like, we could go find their bones probably.

uhhhh....?
