Oh, just so that Friday doesn't steal all my Spaghetti western fun, here's some of my favourite fights and such from the Dollars triogy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeFpM2OEWPs

Again, like with Friday's post and indeed any fight in a Sergio Leone movie, the best part of the scene and indeed the intended best part is the lead up to the violence and not the violence at all. This is probably my favourite gunning down like this that Clint ever did other than the final scene in Unforgiven that Friday mentioned. That one is great due to Clint and Gene's acting and dialouge. But back to this scene, Eastwood is really at his best, talking about his mule in this scene. There's better scenes like the one from Friday's post and some of the fights with Bronson in Once Upon a Time in the West, but I posted this one cause it's my favourite Clint being a badass moment.

Then of course, there's this hat duel from A Few Dollars More

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqZF8XD9Pk4

This is not a GREAT scene, but it is a favourite of mine just because one of my favourite things from the spaghetti westerns is that peacemaker ricochet noise that they used over and over in every movie. Well, in this scene they use that same noise OVER and OVER. Would a bullet really bounce off sand and make that noise? Well maybe, but I'm sure it would never make that even crazier noise it does when Van Cleef starts shooting and all the bullet is hitting is a HAT. Hahah, man I love these movies. They are like, in their own little universe of fake 1800s America. I really want to make a game based on them some time.

THANK YOU for posting the Rob Roy fight.  Was about to do that myself.

Wild Bunch final fight scene

Good pick I_M.

I was about to do that myself until I decided to check if someone else did that on page one.  For an under-rated film, the Wild Bunch has a place in my heart as one of the best westerns out there.

Alas, one of the problems of the fantasy world is the perception that a fight is a fine ballet conducted by the few, when in reality it is a un-cordinated slopfest that usually lasts very shortly, just like the lot of you fuck.  This is one of the few films that successfully bucked the trend:  No music, no glory, just a bunch of bodies.

I almost posted the absolute bloodbath they have at the beginning when they rob the bank and the bounty hunter scum use the temperance parade as cover for an ambush.

Actually, here it is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkCwh-IR_VQ

Dirty, nasty, ugly, and completely devoid of heroes.

Note: The main characters are disguised as army couriers, hence the uniforms.

NOTE²: I Just realized this is two clips randomly strung together. The intial town shootout lasts until 4:20 (hur hur). The part after that is a later scene.

Since we seem to have left the topic's goal of good fights that were one-on-one, or at most one versus many, and gone into full-fledged bad fights and also full-on pitched battles, I figure this has a place here:

If you guys are going to post fights from anime, you could at least pick good, well animated and choreographed fights.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y41FCMkOFnQ

Also, if you've ever seen a clip from Naruto and gone "Wow, that's actually a pretty rad fight" that is because they had Norio Matsumoto do the animation for certain sequences. Look him up on YouTube for some pretty fabulous clips from a number of programs.

Yeah, I actually was going to post a few before rewatching and going "Eh."

I didn't care for the series at all, but the final fight that caps of SCRYED or however you spell it is in my book just for sheer brutality and closure.  Hotblooded shonen hero and his cold, serious rival have finally teamed up, beaten the final evil bad guy, saved the world, etc.

So then they go out into a field just to finally beat the shit out of each other once and for all, go through every sequential bullshit powerup in the series from the initial weak stuff to full on dragonball fighting in space.  And then when they've exhausted that and are about to fall over, they stand up again and nearly kill each other with just punch-drunk elbows and gouging and really stomach-churning crap before finally falling over.

I'd post it but the fight was cut throughout the whole episode, broken up by other plot resolutions, and chopped back together it looks silly and weird.  I just appreciated it for how unexpected it was.

I vaguely remember TMNT had something or other to do with immortal Roman gladiators, and the Foot, but yeah, Leo vs. Ralph was pretty much the only thing that actually stuck.

Awww this one's not gonna be popular. As much as Spider-Man 3 blew chunks, I still absolutely love Pete's skirmish with Hobgoblin.

Would you believe there is not one clip of Borat vs Azamat on YouTube?  :sadpanda:

THAT SHADOWS ASGARD SEQUENCE, GOD DAMN

I guess it may technically be easier to simply post the words "One Piece", though I think anyone can appreciate being linked to full fight clips that are not terrible AMVs.

The current One Piece Arc
Luffy breaks into Impel Down and fights Warden Magelan. Magelan is about as forceful and ominous as anything has been in the series thus far. The follow-up "for reals" fight will probably be as great as the Moria stuff.... YOU MICE
Harry isn't the Hob Goblin. He's just Green Goblin Junior.

Also, the best fight to ever come out of the Spiderman movies is the fight with Doctor Octopus.

Also, while on the subject of One Piece fights, Sanji versus Jyabura

Wasn't terribly crazy about (mild One Piece spoilers)
the Moria fights, but I DID like when the whole crew was fighting Oz.
Also: ROBIN TRANSFORM WITH US LOL was pretty awesome.

Afro Luffy was and is the best thing ever.

EDIT: Also, the "Sanji is kicking ass" theme song (kicks in around 2:25 in the video above) is pretty freaking sweet.
Foxy and Moria are probably my favorite overall villains. It's cool as shit to see enemy fruit users completely outclass Luffy in ways based entirely on intelligence and cunning, especially since we're introduced to major elemental fruit villains so early.

I just think Moria is super-awesome with his hyper-defensive minion fighting style, and the dramatic tensions and sequencing are VIP-quality besides.
Re: One Piece, I was just going to post Luffy vs. Usopp and leave it at that.

Jubei-chan was a well-done little dramedy action series.  Jubei-chan season 2 brought the fucking thunder.

I love the fact that he had to put that "Hey well it's old and cheap okay" comment in the beginning.  It's not like he got a whole bunch of students from the local college to playfight...
