Oh, just so that Friday doesn't steal all my Spaghetti western fun, here's some of my favourite fights and such from the Dollars triogy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeFpM2OEWPsAgain, like with Friday's post and indeed any fight in a Sergio Leone movie, the best part of the scene and indeed the intended best part is the lead up to the violence and not the violence at all. This is probably my favourite gunning down like this that Clint ever did other than the final scene in Unforgiven that Friday mentioned. That one is great due to Clint and Gene's acting and dialouge. But back to this scene, Eastwood is really at his best, talking about his mule in this scene. There's better scenes like the one from Friday's post and some of the fights with Bronson in
Once Upon a Time in the West, but I posted this one cause it's my favourite Clint being a badass moment.
Then of course, there's this hat duel from
A Few Dollars Morehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqZF8XD9Pk4This is not a GREAT scene, but it is a favourite of mine just because one of my favourite things from the spaghetti westerns is that peacemaker ricochet noise that they used over and over in every movie. Well, in this scene they use that same noise OVER and OVER. Would a bullet really bounce off sand and make that noise? Well maybe, but I'm sure it would never make that even crazier noise it does when Van Cleef starts shooting and all the bullet is hitting is a HAT. Hahah, man I love these movies. They are like, in their own little universe of fake 1800s America. I really want to make a game based on them some time.
