Thanks Arc.
Someone earlier was talking about cool close quarter gun fights. I've forgotten whether they posted a fight from Trigun or a fight from some Wesley Snipes film
1, but my favourite fight of this variety has to be the final gun-kata duel that Bale and Big Brother have at the end of Equilibrium.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeHrq_Fs1vkEquilibrium is a very silly movie that really has no redeeming qualities other than Christian Bale's acting -excellent in this movie- and cool fights. People make fun of the silliness that is gun-kata all the time from it's concept down to its improper term using name, but the movie creates some really cool looking fights
2 using it although admittedly there are some lame ones
3 aswell.
I really like this one. It's not super long or complex, but it really manages to look like a good Jet Li or Jacky Chan fight only with hand guns and they never actually hit eachother. It has that flowing gracefulness to it that makes you believe both of these guys really are masters of the same refined style of gun-kungfu. On top of that, it's just choreographed well. I like the part in the middle where they don't get close enough for either of them to attempt a shot for while and then finally, BANG, Bale takes one. It really pops well on screen.
1 Always bet on the African American.
2 This one, all the scenes that come immediately before it, and the part in the beginning where he kicks down the door.
3 The two times where he fights sweeper teams at extremely close range. However, I will admit that I like whenever someone's motorcycle helmet visor gets smashed.
