You gentlemen misunderstand this is fantastic. Once I can afford real groceries I'll have to try this with real macaroni and cheese done properly, with maybe sriracha.

When I was broke but my house was spicy, I'd always put chili powder and garlic in my 90 cent mac and cheese.  The results were delicious.

The wonderful thing about Mac and Cheese is that even if you fuck it up horribly you only wasted a dollar at most, unless you do that fancy deluxe crap, and you should have used a coupon what the hell is wrong with you.

Tuna in mac and cheese is pretty good.  I can't bring Kraft into my home anymore though because my dog will kill himself trying to get to the box.

Speaking of spicy, I have a friend adores spice so much and consumes so much that his tolerance has grown to the point where he just buys large amounts of raw, high-grade capsicum to sprinkle (more like a heavy snowfall, really) on his food.

When I'm not trying to stretch every dollar as far as it will go, horribly fucking up mac and cheese generally comes as a result of a broken bechamel cheese sauce. Roux can get finicky when you add milk too fast, or if you let the cheese get too hot and it separates on you. M&C done right has nothing to do with Kraft.

Pound of Macaroni, two pounds of cheddar, casserole dish, stick of butter, however much milk, a couple eggs.  Boil macaroni until soft.  Mix cheese and macaroni, pour milk to fill about a quarter of the dish.  Crack the eggs over top, mix it all up, chop butter across top, foil cover, 350 for an hour.

No, make this http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/baked-macaroni-and-cheese-recipe/index.html

I've made it a few times for Norondor and my boyfriend and sometimes other people and they are always blown the fuck away, and it's hardly more expensive than regular M&C and tastes amazing

Definitely do not make that recipe.  Macaroni and Cheese is supposed to taste like cheese, not noodles in mustard sauce.

You haven't even tasted it, jesus christ. Try not being an overly negative faggot for once in your god awful life.

Willing to bet TA isn't even familiar with ground dry mustard, which is as different an animal from prepared mustard as pure vanilla is from vanilla ice cream.

AB's actual recipes aren't always so excellent, but the mac and cheese is top drawer and a good introduction to the method.

I've made it twice.  Exactly by the recipe.  Using ground dry mustard.  It tastes like mustard and nothing else.

I'm with Yyler on this one. AB's mac and cheese is pretty solid, and I generally think mustard + cheese is hotness. Try some dijon on your next grilled cheese, kids.

Cheddar is usually too strong for me, I don't like raw cheese and that's probably why I like kraft (fake cheese powder vs actual cheese)

Believe it or not, I actually do have some fucking idea how to cook, and a tablespoon of dry mustard is far, far too much for that amount of mac and cheese.
