Cheeseburger RANCH Hamburger Helper.

All I can tell that makes this one different from regular cheeseburger helper is you drop a teaspoon of mayo into it.

Tonight will be much better.  Again, english muffin mini pizzas.  six muffins makes 12 pizzas.  Top with sauce, toppings, cheese. (Cheese has to hold it all in!), bake at 350 until the edges turn brown.  Om-nom-nom.

Picked up some cottage cheese to try my hand at my mom's old homemade lasanga recipe and it turned out to be pretty good except where the egg noodles were a bit too soggy and soft for my taste.

Given my tendency to destroy my taste buds at any given chance, I added in some green bell peppers and cayenne pepper to the Prego.  Oh man, best sauce ever.

I'd like to note that coconut butter is the most delicious thing ever to spread on anything.

My cast iron skillet is curing in the oven after a few months of neglect.

Tomorrow: fried chicken with a side of delicious.

Pan-fried minute steak with naught but salt and pepper for seasoning.  Holy shit, this thing is the juiciest thing ever.

EDIT: Oh, and homemade bread pudding.

In the past week I've roasted a roast, baked cornbread, made brownies, fried corn cakes, and made batch upon batch of delicious yogurt cheese.

Next up is pan-fried chicken. I will endeavor to serve it with a side of delicious, as recommended.

eggplant cakes: drain eggplant, mix with bread crumbs and wet cheese (salty queso that i don't know the name of works the best in my experience) and an egg, cover slices of eggplant thoroughly, pan fry.  these go well with typical southern food, i like making creamed corn with them.

not cooking, so much as eating; Braunschweiger spread on a sandwich.

My fiance bought some from the deli counter just to try it. Next payday I plan to buy a pound of it. It tastes like smoked dark meat turkey cooked in a brine; It's a perfect balance of smoky and salty. If it wasn't for the waxy, fatty liver texture it would be exactly the same kind of taste. Definately a big fan here.

Pan fried bacon can be tricky. It's important to take it out before it looks done, 'cause it will be burnt on the plate. Same rule for omelets.

The best way to make bacon is to bake a whole pack, all at the same time and constantly drain the grease.

This maximises bacon flavour and minimizes the 'random greasy hog fat' non-flavour.

The best part is that my mother taught me this recipe. Did I mention that my mother is a muslim.
