Also, remember you can disguise as a friendly and leave a friendly corpse of the class you choose.

Oh, really? Didn't know that. Thought it would leave a spy corpse. Nice.

Well, never say never.  One of the key ways of using it is intentionally causing people who know you have it to flip out and waste their time looking for you.
If you count on this behavior, I will fall for it every time. (By which I mean: I will waste time confirming every dead Spy.)

For some reason the game refuses to let me switch OFF the DR, so I'm forced to get over more used to using it for infiltration.

In a truly chaotic situation you have to assume that you're as likely to get headshotted, crit-rocketed, or naded as someone actually discovering you.  Pulling the damned thing out then is really obvious, but it'll ensure you don't die of RANDOM and then you can just waltz your way to the back of the enemy line and hide out until you recover.  It actually works out a lot like the C&D for being Solid Snake but it cuts out all those unpleasant WHAT THE FUCK WAS A PYRO EVEN DOING THERE situations.

Generally I don't Spy to kill people though (and if I did, well, I've developed quite a taste for running straight up to people undisguised and shooting them in the head).  The thing is way too much a pain in the ass for sapping and I really wish I could learn a new trick.

The Dead Ringer is the best accessory for Magnum Rogue.

Yay, they finally buffed the Dead Ringer back up and got rid of a bunch of dumb spy bugs.

Ambassador

-Finally no longer a complete revolver replacement as they have nerfed it to only head shot on your "cooled down" shots. I dunno why it wasn't just like this from the start really. I mean, the flavour text seemed all about this.

Dead Ringer

-YAY, I can recharge it on ammo so it's finally as good as the other watches
-Cloak time is a second longer which sounds great.
-Uncloaking early doesn't always lose you charge. You only lose charge when you have over 60% cloak and you only lose up to 40% of it I guess to automatically put you at 60% charge if you are higher. Any lower than 60% and you keep how much charge you had left.

C & D

-You now have this watch's faster cloak recharge when you are uncloaked, not just when cloaked and not moving.
-recharge is now a little higher
-Charge loss now has a cap of your full movespeed so that stuff like falling or being blasted by ordinance doesn't drain your cloak super fast.

It comes out to make good spies better, and Magnum Rogues worse.

Seems less like buffs and more like fixes to make these items work the way they had originally intended.

Except this seems a little ambiguous:

-Charge loss now has a cap of your full movespeed so that stuff like falling or being blasted by ordinance doesn't drain your cloak super fast.

Does this mean you can crouch or backpedal all the way into the enemy's spawn?

No? Seems straightforward to me. It's a cap of movement speed, meaning it won't go higher.

o hai i fixed ur grammar

Falling while using the C&D basically was a quick way to use up the entire thing.  The change seems to indicate that this will no longer be the case, it would simply drain equal to the equivalent distance at normal speed.

Try reading store.steampowered.com/news/ rather than what someone puts on a forum in any case

Does this make one of the achievements impossible?

My favorite and only Razorback moment was hearing the zap, turning around with perfect reflexes.. to catch the face-stab!

I gotta admit, dead ringer being good again is pretty good news, though it gets petty old killing Geo 4 times in a row and still having to watch your back constantly.

Yeah, I like that it got buffed, but it seems to have been overcompensated.  I kept "killing" Geo, but had no way to track or finish him off as a scout.

It basically gives him enough time to go get a health pack if he needs one and pick more ammo up to strike again.
