I don't really think it's OP just because depending on when I'm forced to use it to escape, I'm still forced to retreat for the time being. This is not as much of a set back as a death, granted, but I'm still forced to re setup and attack from a different angle.

Also, it was only as ridiculous as it was because the teams were so small. On a full server, finding ammo without being killed first is much harder. Also, a good pyro can still kill you 9/10 times unless you really pull some matrix bullshit.

I dunno, Just like I did when the Demoman was being called overpowered all the time, I challenge anyone here to use it and actually dominate a team before they claim it's OP.

A weapon that forces everyone on the team to be aware and Pyros to do their jobs?

Overpowered as all hell on Shadow Moses.

One of my favorite ever voice chats was just the other day, in which some guy said something along the lines of, "This server's fucking broken, the ammo boxes keep disappearing," followed by the inevitable backstab.

ADD is no excuse for poor performance.

Hell, in the Scout's case, lack of ADD is no excuse for poor performance either.

I never said it was overpowered, just really annoying, in the same way snipers are annoying or sentries are annoying.

Well, as long as we're all in agreement then-- now where's that spy?

I might have to play Defense Pyro more often again. Show some of you how it's done, or something.

A friend mentioned an interesting new griefing method.

You need two people. One person plays a spy. The other person plays an engineer on the opposing team. Many custom maps have buildable spawn areas. The engineer puts his teleporter exit in the spawn, and the entrance somewhere the spy can get to.

The spy teleports into the room, now that they can do that.

And then spawncamps. While standing next to the locker, presumably.

Anyone playing on a custom map with a buildable spawn area deserves to get griefed.

My eyes are open and now I see.

The Dead Ringer is the best watch, period. You too can remove the Spy's second-biggest handicap. Practice using yours today!

Dead Ringer Newbies are fun. You fire your shotgun into the mass of opposing team at the start of the match and magically "kill" someone.

That is actually my preferred method of base infiltration, assuming people aren't kind enough to ignore me.

It's funniest when it happens at the start of the round. "That Sniper must be really fucking fast to have already run ahead of me and then double-backed for help."

I like disguising as a friendly scout when DRing at the start. Except pyros lurve to set scouts on fire.

Actually, yeah, Lyrai is wrong, because that is exactly what you want to do to get behind the enemy team, you want to be shot, I usually disguise a friendly medic when I'm around my team.

I'm saying telling the entire enemy team that you have the dead ringer at the start of a match is a very good way to make life hell for you when you're trying to spy it up. Now while a good DR spy can simply lead the whole enemy team around on a merry time wasting "Find the spy!" minigame and lead their team to victory, more often than not it's just one extremely good with the flaregun pyro who just hangs back and makes it next to impossible for a DR spy to do anything.
