Not really, the dead ringer is best that way because it fills the enemy team with even more paranoia than a regular watch, and for good reason too. Hell, when I was "killing" Doom yesterday it was fairly obvious who he was, but I had to do it or else he could just walk around with no other impediments, at least by "killing" him I force him to pick up an ammo pack, which isn't nearly enough but it's something. The only way to actually be sure you've killed a DR spy is if you kill it while it's attacking.

You have to remember though, that with the DR you are immortal, so there's no such thing as hell.

You sound like you just had an unusual run of bad luck and a very attentive pyro. Trust me, it does not matter if anyone knows you have a DR and Pyros bust Spies no matter what you are using.

Like seriously, you guys know I have the DR? What are you gonna do about it? Kill me? Ahahahahahaha.

Also a lot of people, I mean a ridiculously high percentage of players, see you die and they get that little bit of endorphin release for triumphing and are totally clueless. It's amazing.

Also Also I went 75-98 three rounds in a row so I think we can rule out that knowledge of the DR is some sort of shield against it, short of the entire team going pyro.

I love how you brag about how people kill you then do nothing while using a watch that significantly reduces damage and makes you completely invisible.  It's not that we thought we killed you it's just that after you die, unless we're a pyro or sniper we don't know how to find you.

It's more that they kill me and then I backstab them after uncloaking so close to them that they could hear me if I wasn't using a giant ZZZZZZORT watch.

It is usually pretty easy to tell if there is a dead ringer spy around. My folly is to trust other people to kill him so I can actually focus on anything but the dead ringer spy.

Trust no one.

It actually seems a lot easier to tell if their a dead ringer spy these days than it used to be, at least to me.  They die differently and their corpse leaves a puff of moving smoke.  That said, once they've dead ringered it's hard as hell to track them.  Even harder to randomly kill them, as that damage reduction is mighty impressive.

If you cannot pick up a gun after someone dies, it was a dead ringer. It's also helpful to see if you have finally killed the fucking spy, or if he is still around.

I'm just amused that you can get a domination without actually really killing anyone.
