Good Eats is my second favorite show of all time.

What's the first one, Nigela Bites?

Recently bought the DVD sets of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The show is a combination of infinitely loathsome and morally bankrupt protagonists with devastatingly unpleasant situations, ultimately of their own devising. In essence, it takes the Seinfeld model and removes any and all sympathy for the cast.

I love it.

Particularly painful is the musical episode with which they ended the fourth season. Also,
when Charlie starts pulling out his teeth
:ohshi~: :ohshi~: :ohshi~:.

You know, I've never liked shows where everyone is a complete asshole. It prevented me from liking Deadwood, and I tried really fucking hard.

Not that Al wasn't balls to the wall fuckawesome.

Except, Seth Bullock was about as far from being an asshole as a person could get.

I loved it so much I made one of the lyrics my custom title.

I tried to watch an episode of Desperate Housewives once, and I quickly arrived to the conclusion that I wanted everyone on that show to get slapped like a million times.

I never watched it again.

...so over in another thread we've been having a debate on whether certain things are satire or not.

Which is sort of how I feel about the past week's Smallville, which was a schlocky cop show.  I like to think the writers put out a cliche-filled eye-roller of a script intentionally, but it was played so straight it's hard for me to tell.

That said, it had Dan Turpin, so I'm going to call it a win.

If you keep watching I think that happens once an episode.

I've written before that the true measure of a comedy's quality is how many times I'm forced to pause it because I'm laughing too hard to pay attention and I don't want to miss anything.

Flight of the Conchords ranks highly on this scale.

I gotta say, at least Adult Swim picked up a good program to ....try to cancel out all its latest terrible shows.  Look around you is just so silly.  Tonight's episode is on germs.  And ghosts.

...While I liked the first two eps of the new season of Conchords, I felt they were having trouble keeping up with the standard of season one.

I think the third ep was something of a return to form.

Furthermore, I think I need to learn I Got Hurt Feelin's, because I think it will come in handy the next time I got hurt feelin's.

...my favorite thing about Howie Do It is that the "I" in the title is not serifed, so every time I see a commercial for it I read it as "Howie Dolt".
