I am pretty amazed by how good Party Down is. The writing is natural and humorous, and it kind of plays like Community, only toned down a bit and less the sitcom styling. Too bad it just got cancelled. I hope Community doesn't fall prey to the Arrested Development curse.
Too bad, I was meaning to watch it as it was from the same creators as Veronica Mars.

Too bad that I had just started watching it and then Netflix yanked it from instant watch.

So I bought Psych seaons 2-4 for rather cheap (between $5 and $11 for each). I really like the show and the space owning them on DVD frees up from my hard drive is great but...
Well, the bonus features? The Season 2 one had a good amount. Could've used more Psych-Outs or whatever, but fine. Season 3? Maybe half had commentaries. And very little in the way of other bonus features.
I haven't gotten to season 4 yet but it really needs to step it up.
Seriously, Season 3's bonus features section is disappointing.

This is more like random Hulu thoughts, but I've gotta stop watching good tv shows before bed.

Dirk Gently TV series coming.  Source is Bleeding Cool, so grain of salt on the details, but the announcement itself appears to be official.

Oh huh.  I saw that but for some reason I thought it was a radio programme.

I wondered why there was an actual photo of someone dressed up as Dirk.  I actually stumbled upon it looking for a good counter to "Loki" in that RPS Image-Fu game.

...even though he never actually encountered Loki, I don't think.

Or they might have just saw "BBC" and assumed it was television.

Well no, BBC 4 is a TV station.  And, as they mention, the Beeb already did a radio version.

Talking Time has been buzzing about Power Rangers getting picked back up with last year or the year before's Sentai counterpart: Shinkenger.  Disney no longer has a painful grasp on the franchise, with control back in Saban's hands, and is being aired on Nickelodeon.  Considering that Shinkenger's morphing starts with a cellphone that turns in to a calligraphy brush, which the rangers draw kanji symbols to activate, I wonder how it's going to translate to the American audience.

Then, of course, there's RICHAAAARD BROWN
Samurai Sentai Shinkenger - Shinken Brown : Richard Brown
The video details their morphing sequence as well.

I heard they were going to stop porting the Japanese series and do them from scratch instead. This was a while back, and could be entirely false.

Completely false.

PowerRangers.comp is proof of it.  Also, classic episodes are being played daily on that website now.

Watching Bored to Death. It's pretty good. Loser pothead writer becomes a private detective. Stars Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson, and Zach Galifianakis. Season two started on HBO tonight. I can't believe I haven't heard about it before.

New season of Dexter started. Almost missed it. First episode was kind of unsurprising, dealing with the things that happened at the end of last season and...

You must be, if you're watching that.  :troll:

Only two episodes in, but The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret is pretty awesome so far.  Very much in the "bad things happen to a bad person" style, and David Cross is excellent at awkwardly fumbling for lies.

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.

I agree wholeheartedly with Maureen Ryan on why Sandman would not translate well to TV.

Replaced it with a much lower quality version.  If you want a higher quality version of it, the full episode is up on Hulu for a while
I kind of want to punch that guy. Just once though.

EDIT: I was considering posting that and then I made the mistake of continuing to watch the show. Now I just want to punch myself.

How the hell come the word "animated" doesn't appear anywhere in the article?
