I'm enjoying Boardwalk Empire, but I'm kinda wishing that I had waited until the first season was over before watching it because it takes its sweet time in setting everything up before paying anything off.

On the other hand, 1920s boobs.

Did they do like Pirates of the Caribbean and set a no-implant policy?

I don't know if that's the official stance, but it sure seems that way.

A man was so angry at Bristol Palin winning a spot on the season finale of Dancing With The Stars that he threatened his wife with a gun and shot his television.

Every time I catch an episode of a Stargate series, it's like 99% logistical problems and 1% actual entertaining adventure.

So The Daily Show has started trolling John McCain. Their first volley: Muppet John McCain.

I caught an episode of Chuck the other day, wherein Chuck is captured in South America, and his tough-as-nails kung-fu secret agent femme fatale girlfriend must save him. They had also gotten the rights for Wolfmother's "Woman".

I shit you not when I say that the entire episode was the same scene of his girlfriend walking into a bar or some gathering to find some information on where Chuck was, some tough guy heckling her being a woman, and Wolfmother's "Woman" playing while she beat up everyone in the room. This happened at least a dozen times before the final faceoff between her and the misogynistic dirty-fightin' crime boss, set to Wolfmother's "Woman", wherein she kicks him in the balls and walks off, Wolfmother's "Woman" blasting in the background.

I can't tell if you're praising or condemning that, because it sounds kind of awesome.

Harry's Law is a show with an insipid premise and mediocre writing that takes itself too seriously when it should be a comedy, but Kathy Bates is so goddamn good that she makes it watchable.  (Also, it's got the bad guy from Happy Gilmore and Rob Corddry's little brother.)

Episodes is pretty neat.  It's weird to see Matt LeBlanc playing against type, but he's playing (a version of) himself so I don't really know how to feel about the whole thing.  It's weird to watch a show about making a show.

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.

It was done without a hint of irony, so it was a pretty rough watch all around. It felt like a 13-year-old girl's self-insertion fanfiction.

That said

There is something about Discovery's Gold Rush reality show about five retarded manchildren putting it all on the line to strike it rich on gold in Alaska that's deeply, deeply entertaining.

Jack Hoffman confirms he's found the glory hole

Harry's Law is Boston Legal with different famous people.
