I mean, it's technically watchable, and there were three brief fun hopeful minutes at the midpoint where they make the main guy clean vine overgrowth from the electric fencing and he's all brushing massive prehistoric bugs off of him and such and it was sort of taking itself not so seriously

then it just got right on back to being a mind-bogglingly joyless stargate episode and I dunno

It's just one of the laziest shows I've ever seen. I think they just had the concept of the show on paper ("Make Avatar TV show") and then wrote in the characters and locations and overarching plot the morning of filming and called it a day.

Really great, stand-alone episode of Fringe the other day. "Welcome to Westfield". Exactly the kind of feel and format this show should try to hit more regularly.

It's on Hulu, but I think it only becomes available to everyone eight days after it airs, which I think is this coming Saturday.

You don't really need any prior knowledge of the show to enjoy it, save maybe for the fact that it's known by this point that
there are two universes, one slightly different from ours
.

Ok. I love Psych but this season has had me worried. This first part wasn't bad but this next half of the season is nothing but star after star and the three episodes they are talking about are just revisits of earlier episodes. They are even bringing the A capella group back for an episode. And one of their tweets mentioned we'll be seeing a lot more of William Shatner in the future so I'm not too sure the future is going to be all that bright.

Well, it at least makes sense that Shatner's role would be a recurring one, and even a cavalcade of celebs makes sense on a case-of-the-week show.  (And they've had some great guests in the past -- Cary Elwes and Tim Curry come to mind.)  But yeah, you don't want to lean on the guest stars/sequel episodes TOO heavily.

I get his role would be recurring, but I was under the impression he's going to be heavily used in the future. As for more Desperaux, I'm not sure the character has much left to offer. What's next? The cops use him to help solve crimes (with subtle hints to White Collar) and he turns out to be stealing things? Or Shawn suspects him to be crooked, inadvertently proves his straight, then has to prove he really is stealing things?

I don't know. These "extra special guest" episodes they push hard are awfully formulaic and I guess I'm hoping for less of them.

Usually not that bad, right? Or am I fooling myself more when there's not a "big star" to roll my eyes at?

maybe the something that is wrong with me is that i am watching glee

The latest Psych was really on, I thought.  Quite good dialogue.

Watching "Being Human" (UK version) On netflix and it's both one of the most interesting things to watch and infuriating because every character has such incredible failings or stupid moments that it makes me want to pull my hair out. I mean it's decidedly human of them to have these failings, yes. I understand that's the point of the show. But goddamnit quit being so fucking stupid.

Finally watching Community post season three halloween. That is clearly the point of dissent into insanity and it is 100% for the best.

Also Annie as Brittany in the Glee episode made my penis explode forever.

Daily Show had David Barton on and I kind of wanted to swear at him for his definition of what, exactly, coercion means in a school context.

I was also pretty annoyed at how he seemed to shift his definitions and lines when it suited him and how he couched the whole debate in monotheism.

EDIT:
Here's the extended interview playlist from the daily show website:
