Incidentally, has anyone noticed the similarities between Morena Baccarin and Vaniity?

I think I really like Castle.
It might be the only show that might make watch regularly!

I currently enjoy the alternative-universe drama Kings on NBC. I saw the two hour premiere episode and the follow-up last week. It's a different kind of show other than the dime a dozen crime dramas and UNreality tv shows these days. The main reason: New York City is depicted as a city-state kingdom ruled by a king.

Hopefully it will survive at one season, AT LEAST ONE.  :mystery:

I'm crossing my fingers too on that one, the premiere kicked some serious ass.

Not exactly looking too peachy on the ratings front, though.

I liked the premiere episode a lot. For those who don't know (and if the episode wasn't blatant enough) the show is a modern-alternate-universe retelling of the story of David, so at least we know the writers won't be out of ideas anytime soon.

Dollhouse is okay.  As good as the first couple seasons of Buffy so far at least.  I like Echo's handler, he's not a bad character.  Also Patton Oswalt's character last week, great stuff.  A bit of classic Whedon writing finally got thrown in.

The thing about Dollhouse is that yeah, it's exactly the opposite of Firefly.  Before this Whedon had switched genres a lot but always done pretty much the same kind of writing.  In Dollhouse he's doing something totally different and learning his way around a new thing.  I've got good feelings about it, I think it's going to be really hard for the show to stagnate with the way it's been going.  It's slow to pick up, but it will pick up.

Just saw the season 2 finale of Burn Notice over surfthechannel.  Holy shit I never knew
Frasier's dad
could be so intimidating.  Burn Notice might be my favourite thing on TV right now.

Been looking forward to Kings like crazy, I'll have to check that out soon.

Finding it harder and harder to keep up to date with Supernatural but the most recent episode was worth it.  They've done stuff like it before but it was still really good.

Am I the only person in the WORLD who just plain does not like Mad Men?

Do you not like it because you feel that the characters in it are mostly assholes? Because you're supposed to feel that way.

Every single episode of Arrested Development is on Hulu.  If you didn't catch the show when it aired, and never bothered to get or torrent the season after that, you owe it to yourself to watch this show.  It's the funniest comedy ever.

Watching "Fear Friday!" on AMC because I'm just that bored.  I walked in 20 minutes until the end of some movie called "The Howling" which was unbelievably, hilariously cheesy.  Now I'm watching "The Beast Must Die."  It opened saying that it was basically a wolf game, that you are the detective trying to find out who the werewolf is.  So I feel compelled to watch it even though I know it will be terrible.

A-he-he-hem. I feel that I must point out that The Howling is in fact meant to be a comedy, and was also directed by cult auteur Joe Dante, the man who brought us such lovely things as Gremlins, Gremlins Dos: La Nueva Batch, and uh, Small Soldiers.

Now I'm watching "The Beast Must Die."

AKA "Black Werewolf." Part of the short-lived blackspoltation-era Blackula knock-offs. Actually not a terrible movie if you ignore the plagiarized 10 Little Indians plot and ridiculous intermissions and just focus on Calvin Lockhart taking names and kicking ass shooting at dogs painted like wolves.
