I'm a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here! has given me new hope for humanity. The premise is that there are a bunch of celebrities trapped in the jungle. Each week, one is voted out by YOU the VIEWER. The premise is that the jungle sucks ass and the longer a Celeb stays there, the more money their charity gets.
Point 1: I would like to believe that the watchers of the show know what charity each celeb is tied to and would vote based ONLY on that criteria, but of course this is not the case, which only helps confirm my suspicion that the people I call friends are the only human beings on this rock.
Point 2: However, in the most recent episode I saw, Janice was voted off. Janice is the camp's most lazy, complaining, underhanded, chaos-causing and generally unlikable character, which you would think would mean she's going to get 2nd place. But no. She's out. It goes far to restore my faith in humanity. America clearly doesn't want to inflict Janice on these poor celebs any longer, and I praise them for that. At one point in the show, she stole food. Another time she spit on a plate instead of washing it like she had volunteered to do. I mean, she's acted like total scum, and America actually voted her off. I'm... proud as hell! Go USA!
Point 3: I am still without a girlfriend or job. Pray for me, WFEers.
Side note: It's hilarious how these celebs can't seem to muster the ingenuity to build a shelter or improve their lives beyond some very simple modifications to their camp.
