NYT:
Quote
In a decision that clears CBS of any wrongdoing for airing the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show that featured Janet Jackson’s infamous “wardrobe malfunction,” a federal appeals court overturned the $550,000 fine that the Federal Communications Commission levied against the station, calling the fine arbitrary and capricious.

Sanity has shit piss fuck cunt cocksucker motherfucker tits prevailed.

The ruling's immediate scope IS fairly narrow, but it DOES set good precedent in saying networks aren't responsible for performers' actions in live broadcasts, and the suggestion that the FCC fines are excessive could roll over into future suits.

It's been good seeing the networks challenge the FCC on this stuff, and I look forward to more.  Words and nipples don't hurt anybody.

Former Wizards of the Coast employee kills his estranged wife, an Xbox developer.

Yeah, while this is actually totally unremarkable, expect the comments to start rolling.

Jack Thompson permanently disbarred.  GP appears to be down at the moment, presumably because of the amount of traffic generated by the news.

EDIT: Don't know who moved this before I got a chance to, but ooh, you're quick.
