Bought five games.
Resonance of Fate: One hour in - I might play a large amount of this game. The battle mechanics are poorly described, but once you break and cry and finally crack the manual and learn how to tri-attack, the pace quickens adequately. The crafting system is intriguing from this end. I have higher hopes than most JRPGs I've never bothered to finish.
God of War III: I didn't play this, but I think I played some of the clones that came out, and I watched my brother as
Kratos offed himself
and smiled warmly to myself. The basic combo I use in all those games is intact, so I don't need to press SQUARE SQUARE SQUARE SQUARE TRIANGLE WHATEVER a million times to watch this one's story. Might play it after FFXIII and the other games in this post.
Heavy Rain: Uh. I push buttons. I set the difficulty high and win. The story is that
everyone in the game is either insane, a killer and has some kind of addiction or deep-seeded emotional problem that causes them to have freaky dreams or become psychopathic and kill people in their houses secretly, or a kicked puppy (murdered, actually)
. I realize that's not really much of a spoiler.
MGS4: Third in the planned lineup, but I've already had all the plot points shown to me or I've read about them. Hideo's on the team for a new Castlevania game <citation needed> someone told me. Neat!
Modern Battlefront something and a roman numeral: I miss Counterstrike. This was my brother's pick. What can I say, I'm a nice dude.
Mirror's Edge: Fourth in the lineup. I'm already a few hours in, and I appreciate this game because it reminds me of twitchy, 3d, shoulder-over Sonic the Hedgehog. can't wait for StH4 omf This game will be enjoyed by me.
