If these rumours are to be believed, you can't play a Guardsman, instead, you get a "guardsman-like" start as an assassin. No mention of sororitas, or even if female characters can be created. Chaos is Khorne only.

If I were generous, I'd give this a year until it goes free-to-play.

I'm concerned about the game. I want it to be good but I'm just not sure. Lack of variety can and probably will be fixed through expansion packs at least?

Perfect way to play Guard is to be a huge ball of troops that move as one. Every time you get hit, you lose 'X' number and get smaller, this would capture the 'bury you under out corpses' schtik of WH40K.
