Minecraft: The Subtly Christian Game Mean to Convert Heathen Secularists

That's a joke right. I skimmed the article but didn't look at the rest of the website. Please tell me it's a joke.

I had my doubts about monster spawning too, but I saw a couple of creepers. They do seem to be spawning less often and I'm talking outdoors with no torches around.

Like I said, it's probably the unhinged slime spawning. When I was warping from the nether to my home I saw at least 3 of them in a cavern underground while the world was still spawning.

Well, slimes spawn near bedrock and even with plenty of light, and with all the bedrock tunnels that some guy did I'm not entirely surprised; I actually broke into that tunnel while exploring the caverns under my place.

I was wandering around lost away from any sign of civilization for several game-days a few days ago, and I saw no monsters at all, so I think the monster-spawning thing is an actual problem if nothing's been done about it.  Also, there were wolves once, but I only saw one trained one and no wild ones at all during that time as well.

I was just building a railroad before you logged in and when it hit nighttime I could see a ton of zombies and creepers.

I installed a mod that makes glowstone drop when you break glowstone. I don't think you should have to avoid lava and fireballs to get the dust just to accidentally place it in the wrong spot (guess what I did!).

Heh, it really feels like Bigshell is the big city and Zanzibarland is our bourgeois pied-à-terre in the country.

Man, I was hoping the lag and chunk-loading problems I was having would be confined to Bigshell, but I logged onto Zanzibarland tonight and it seriously took 3 minutes for lines of text I typed to show up in chat. Poor Stush must have thought I was being shy or something, but no, I was tired of waiting for my text to appear or the next piece of landscape to show up, so I'd d/c and r/c, and it would STILL only load the chunk I was standing in. Unplayable. :(

Are you trying to use a 32 bit texture pack? I sort of had that problem last night, but then again it was followed by the server locking up.

Monster spawning is definitely broken, even the mob grinder produces no monsters, I think they only spawn for smiler and the monsters I'd seen are only the remnants from him being there earlier.

No, I was using texture packs earlier, but I've been sticking with the default pack for a while now.
