Boats in MP: they can be steered, but it's a lot more cumbersome to do so than it used to be, or than it is in SP.

While mining a new path back from my area toward civilization, I think I broke into somebody's sub-sub-basement. If you had a 3 or 4-block wide tunnel with a gravel floor providing access to the lava stratum, you might check to see whether it's intact. (I wasn't sure how to get to that spot from above.)

New station in Smiler's fort. It's on the same line that goes to Detonation Station. The switch is in the actual terminal, unlike the Zara's mine branch. I'm thinking of not going for various directional lines in the Grand Central Station terminal, since they're not really lining up. I might rename things to simply the A, B and C line or something. The C terminal is ready, but theres no connecting station yet. Any requests?

I got an updated map of our world up at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/75343/Finalfight/index.html
Perhaps we can use it for rail route ideas.

Brentai: drop me a line and I will send you all the cache so you can set up a cron-job for map updates.

We should make a station and a plaza for those buildings behind Kazzia. And a station near Parthenon/Death star.

Yeah, I was just thinking that a harbor<->Parthenon<->Land of Glass and Lava route would be nice,
Then perhaps also Land of Glass and Lava<->Cliffside Palace<->Land of Sand and Gravel,
and Land of Glass and Lava<->Sideways<->Superfort<->Minecorpse(<->Grand Central line C?)

As far as reaching the northlands, I think that the skysland would be a good jumping off point for reaching nexadruin's house of lights etc.

Also we should turn the giant Sphere into an Epcot ride.

Don't worry too much about the boats and tracks.  Along with player health and the block spawning bug, Notch is taking care of it early next week.

Looks like we might want to gear up to start the new server, even if we can't teleport between them yet.

PVP toggle sounds fun, because honestly I don't think I'd really bother with true survival multiplayer. Single player is quite easy as is. Having some huge indestructible group build fortress in a day doesn't sound particularly great.... Unless we were KILLING EACH OTHER.

I hope there'll be an option for the PVP Toggle to automatically flip whenever it becomes nightfall.  MAN IS THE TRUEST MONSTER OF THEM ALL.

Maybe someday PVP would sound fun when more complex features are added, but right now it would seem more annoying than anything, where you either have people trying to survive and mind their own business or assholes trying to kill them.  Kinda like my experiences with WoW PVP servers.

We can do whatever now, but PVP toggle seems kinda pointless, not to mention uncreative.  Why hit someone with a sword when you can lead them into a cave and lock them in a room full of zombies, or set dastardly TNT traps, or dump lava on their head while they're trying to mine obsidian?  Yes, that's still being an asshole, but it's a lot funnier than just hitting someone with a sword until they die.

The stronger you punch, the better the door. So there are like super strong murderers who punch people into Venetian doors and shit"

New Goal: Rube-Goldberg deathtrap that uses a minecart to fling an unwitting rider into a hazard.

Note: If we implement player health, Kayin is currently the one working on our minecart system.

I've got the rails between Forbidden Station and Adventureland working. Unfortunately an incident with lag and stupidity claimed the majority of Adventureland station.  :whoops:

But at least the water I used to (unsuccessfully) fight the fire only disturbed 3 track pieces, which I easily repaired.

Ha ha, nothing ruins single player quite like a crash that removes all of your previous work in the weirdest possible way.  IE some stuff is there, but other blocks have replaced themselves.

That happened mine. I was lost and sailed to an island to wait out the night (probably not the best idea as mobs can swim and water saves them from burning at dawn). I built a furnace and filled it with iron ore to make a compass, planted my remaining torches over the island, and built a tower of gravel to wait atop until dawn. The plan was to grab the iron, run to the boat and sail away.

Music played at dawn, and Minecraft crashed. When I returned, the gravel was gone, but I was still in mid-air and fell twenty blocks. The furnace was gone along with my iron, and so were my escape boat and torches. Luckily, the monsters were gone too.

Code: [Select]
(A) Train
      |
Harbor Station -or- Harbor Station Alt Track
      |                       |
Stacktus Station        Big Cave Station
      |
Forbidden Station
      |
Adventure Land

(B) Train -----------------  V
      |                      |
      |                 Smiley Station
      |
      |------------Zara Mine's
      |
Detonation Station
      |
Skullsplitter Station

(C) Train <-> (C) Train  :(

(A) Train, (B) Train, (C) Train: Terminals within Grand Central Station, under the compass building close to spawn. (C) Train doesn't do anything yet.

Harbor Station: Station in the tunnel right by the Zeppelin. Contains an two different terminals.

Big Cave Station: Station under ground near the giant death sphere.

Stacktus Station: Station underground at Fort Stacktus, under Bongo Bill Memorial Bridge.

Forbidden Station: Station under the Floating Islands Library.

Adventure Land: Station out in the middle of nowhere -- or near Nex and Benjamin's stuff.

Zara's Mines: Micro Station in Fort Zara.

Smiley Station: Station in Smiler's Fort

Detonation Station: Station next to Detonator's Quarter Sphere building.

Skullsplitter Station: Station on the Battlements of Skull Fortress.

I'm pretty sure Zara or Upthorn are working on a branch off of Zara's mine and I'm sure the (C) train will be used sometime soon. I also suspect a station out in the land of glass and lava or whatever now that Big Cave Station exists.

I could probably relocate mine to C train, yeah.

Zara's mines have tunnels to glass maze, a field near death orb, and the massive caves under Stacktus.

I started working on an underground train that connects the hill between Fort Zaratustra and spawn to a place very far away. Upthorn helped me get the elevator train working, and I think we got the spawn-side station up, but the destination station hasn't been built yet. I guess I"ll do that today.
