I had a hard time getting into it just because of the art style which was at the time much less talented than it is now.

You aren't the only one.  That's one of the things keeping me from even getting near it (which is weird since I enjoyed Grappler Baki).

And now I'm just overwhelmed by the size of it.  I know I could catch up in less than a week, but the judgment centre of my brain just keeps screaming 'HOLY CRAP THAT'S LONG' and getting in the way.

Also this.
And we still don't know how Doflamingo works... also if Gecko Moria can impale a super-giant in the heart with pure shadow, why didn't he do that against a rubber man? :3 Oh well.

Boa's actions (SCREW THE RULES, I'M PRETTY) add yet another person to the "POSSIBLE PERSON THAT ACTUALLY SAVES ACE'S BUTT" list.  (I expect Garp to do something, what with that promise he made to Gol D. Roger)
(and doom, not posting PIRATES DOCKING 6: BIG EMPEROR? what the hell?)

Twenty bucks says
at least part of Doflamingo's power is to create tiny, invincible threads. It would explain how he can manipulate people with his fingers so easily and also how he CUT OZ JR.'S LEG RIGHT THE FUCK OFF
I don't think Doom is campaigning against lazy people by recommending them something to do instead of working.

I am campaigning against people who invent excuses to not read One Piece by showing them how ridiculously awesome it is.

Also Mr Saturn as I have said in the VG Music Thread, I pace myself unlike you dullards who try to post every thing you can think of before your primitive brains let it leak out.

You can watch streaming episodes of One Piece again off the Funimation website. Which is good, because everything in the current arc has been one massive, beautiful clusterfuck, and there are definitely things I'm going to want to see in glorious animation.

ADDENDUM: Also, Hulu.

Still waiting on you lazy bones to start reading or watching this.

Actually let's just discuss these one at a time.

Proof that every decent fight does not need an eternity + several episodes of build up, power-ups, useless blows or exchanged retorts(or as I call it, the Bleach formula.)

THIS ONE PUUUUNCH

(or as I call it, the Bleach formula.)

God help me, I do not want to know how awful the series is if they managed to dethrone Dragonball Z as the cliched "worst offender".

Thanks for the heads up, I guess?

Bleach has pretty much mastered the art of having one, and only one thing happen in each chapter. Seriously, count it. For example: in chapter 370, one of the good guys strikes a killing blow against one of the bad guys. In chapter 371, said bad guy dies.

It's almost beautiful.

Bleach is also pretty amazing in that every fight literally follows the same outline.

Okay, so I've been catching up on One Piece through Hulu, and I'm at about the end of the Shabody Archipelago arc and... God DAMN. I mean, I already know what happens thanks to the manga, and still... God DAMN. I can't stop watching.

ADDENDUM: Okay, just finished all the available episodes up. Looking at it again, I can't help but think that
Boa Hancock's secret is definitely going to be exposed during Ace's Execution. Don't know how, maybe she takes an attack in order to protect Luffy that reveals the brand on her back. Regardless, the Marines are almost definitely going to learn that they made a former Tenryubito slave a Royal Shichibukai.
