Or am I just getting annoyed at stuff he's been doing since forever?
You are. I can think of layouts going back to Alabasta that were like that.

New chapter is out, and we've got a look at what the characters are now really capable of. Luffy can use Haki, not surprising, Sanji's legs are stronger, Zoro is better at cutting stuff, and Franky has new weapons.
And nipples
. And Robin... Robin...

... huh.

Robin:
She's increased her control over her powers by a thousand-fold. Before she was creating hundreds of hands acting in tandem, now she's made a million hands bloom and act in tandem. Oh, and with the sea sapping her power no less. What more do you want?

Hey, who do you guys use for your fix? I read the manga, but roast beef needs to plow through the gap in episodes on Hulu. From like 290 to 360.

Who should I recommend to him?

So in spite of problems national disaster, mangastream's one piece came out more-or-less on time.

I don't have anything to say except that I'm pretty obnoxiously about this One Piece arc.
I'm a little less interested in Oda's commentary on institutionalized racism than a problem I consider more "Japanese" but what the hell.

EDIT:
Oh, this is what I'm talking about:
A Japanese young adult making a commentary about the basically set-in-stone prescribed path for a Japanese person from elementary school to retirement?

The anime is at the time skip start now. I still need to catch up on the White Beard arc, but I'm watching the new episodes anyway. Anyone else notice in the opening
Dragon giving a young Shanks Luffy's hat?
I guess I picked a good time to start watching again then, since a time skip will be another good stopping point.  I mean, I'm 70 episodes or more behind right now anyway, but still!

I just watched Strong World, though.  It was pretty entertaining, but Episode 0 condensed more awesome into 18 minutes than the movie did in two hours.

So.

Chapter 648.
It's nice to finally see a new straw hat pirate on the Luffy/Zoro/Sanji level.
It's OK man.
It's OK.

You'll just watch the next 20 AWESOME episodes. And then you'll be done. It'll be over and you can wait for a backlog to build up again. You can have your life back.

I watched up to the episode before they reached Fishman Island, so I'm good.

Also sorry, I'm too busy over here listening to all of the Fake Strawhats being voiced by the Real Strawhats playing musical chairs with their roles and it fuckin' owns.
