More movies need to use the word decorum.

Bleedingcool visits Aardman studio

Man, I love Aardman.  Is there anybody else that dedicated to their art and craft?

Coming soon to online video games if it isn't already here: Ads in loading screens or televisions inside windows on streets showing 'real world' commercials.

I could almost see something like this work in something that wasn't a feature film. But no, it's going to be awful instead.

I really, really want to live in the timeline where Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro and Jim Carrey held onto their positions as the stooges for this.

You know, it doesn't look any less funny than the original Stooges.

Sasso's a good pick.  I have no idea who those other two guys are.

I braced myself for something completely terrible as soon as I saw the title, but I think that actually has a chance of being watchable. The actors have clearly got the cadence of the originals down pretty well. It's all going to come down to the script, though, and that's something you can't tell from a trailer. A classical Stooges flick has a setup that is entirely a vessel for slapstick and occasionally wordplay, which is ignored altogether when it would be any kind of impediment to the comedy. I don't know if modern Hollywood is capable of writing something like that any more.

The Stooges style also lends itself mostly to shorts.

Not that you CAN'T stretch a short style out to 90 minutes (see Marx Brothers, Laurel and Hardy, WC Fields), but...yeah, it's been a long time.  Leslie Nielsen spoof movies had their similarities to that format, but has there been a good one of those in the past 20 years?

Anyway, I thought this was actually more of a biopic than an actual full-length Three Stooges comedy.  Are we being bait-and-switched, or am I wrong?
