Hehe. Modesty Blaise. Whatta viper.
As for more info, what else do you want to know about Adele?
The plots are half dry wit, half ADVENTURE (very Tintin-like there... but that's something common to many European comics featuring independant adventuring heroes) and half WTF (wun hunnert fiddy per-cent!).
The books as a whole are comparable to standard Euro-adventure fare, but have a sort of sardonic, cynical feel to them which is kind of at odds with the ludicrous mad scientists, hibernation chambers, mummies, steampunk ape-men, etc. that populate the pages. Probably on account of Adele's general attitude.
I mean, the books are still good fun, but they're much less... "cheerful" than Hellboy. The ones set after WWI (
Adele actually misses the war, she's stuck in a hibernation chamber for the duration, between two books
) are kind of darker, for what I imagine are obvious reasons.
