I like Ophelia well enough, but the wonder twins are pretty bland.  All the support troops are pretty okay, too, except the the beast rider chicks who sound like they have a cold.  Oh, wait, I like the bus driver, he's alright.

Aaaaaand beat it. Some minor disappointment here and there -- the endgame felt a bit squished together, which is doubly shameful, since Doviculus didn't have enough screentime, and he was really well written and voiced by Tim Curry. Its biggest flaw, though, is that it's the first of a series. It feels like Mega Man 1 to an inevitable Mega Man 2. It did some great things ugly so that another game can do it pretty.

That said, I still had fun, and I actually want to set up a Gold Membership so that I can play Multiplayer. And that's never happened before.

ADDENDUM: Five minutes into my very first match my internet connection dropped.

Okay, after getting my ass handed while I was trying to figure out how Doviculus and the Tainted Coil works, I'm really hoping that Brutal Legend's DLC is going to be Campaigns for the other factions. The Tainted Coil and the Drowning Doom do not work like Ironheade, and it would be pretty nice to have a single player mode to guide you through their inner-workings.

I mean, yeah, you could practice with the AI. But that's boring. And, also, I want to play an abjectly evil Tim Curry. That would be fun.

Yeah, I fiddled with the Drowning Doom just enough to get the "double-team with every unit" achievement, but trying to absorb all the differences at once is a bit too much for me.

Brutal Legend DLC announced. I was hoping for something a bit more... substantial.

I was kind of hoping for more missions but this is completely fine for now. Not sure about paying 5 bucks for two maps and a new axe though.

I'll probably go ahead and get it. You know, whenever I get my fucking TV to work. I want those guys at Double Fine and EA to know that I want DLC for Brutal Legend.

If I had the spare money I would gladly go out and get it. I dont even have enough money for live to even use the maps to a full potential.

So I've been playing more multiplayer, and I've come to a conclusion: people who play as Ironheade are lame. They're uncool. They're the sort of people who roll Female Night Elf Paladins in World of Warcraft.

Now I'm amazingly curious what the fuck you think that even means.

I thought for sure that would make sense.

Okay, they're the type of people who create Sephiroth or Cloud in City of Heroes. They're mouth-breathers. They're Cyan Primes.

Performing thread necromancy!

Just a note, I don't know how it is at your wal-mart, but I just snagged this for 20 bucks. This seems to be the going rate online, but if you like buying your games by walking into a store, it might be worth checking out.

Well, have fun with it. It feels too short in the worst way possible, and it feels like there ought to be more to do, but that's about the worst thing you can say about it.

In all honesty, I am having more and more trouble getting into games over 5 hours long these days, unless it's a sandbox or an open ended rpg.

Well, it's sort of a sandbox but not really.  Also, secret RTS!
