Actually, I kind of agree? It's nice that you guys like funny images from the internet, but maybe putting them in as emoticons is a bit much. Having an image macro at the ready to post is one thing, whatever. Having 30 for anyone to use whenever they feel like a post needs an 800x800 image of a cartoon pimp in a tiny pop up box is another. The Hi I'm Daisy emotes already disrupt the readability of the forum enough imo.

I think to counterbalance we should just throw in some nice 10x10 icons that don't break normal text lines for those of us who always wanted to be able to use icons without breaking text lines.   :itsatrap:

Deh! Nor it's always something with you! You are The Forever Dissatisfied Man.

I don't really like clutter, though. I wish there was some way I could make a 45 x 45 px thumbnail for these things so they would fit into the [more] popup better. It just looks gay right now.

UNDERSTANDABLE

The Hi I'm Daisy emotes already disrupt the readability of the forum enough imo.

What does this even mean? How does the forum at large get harder to read when there's a cartoon dog in the place of "deal with it" between two people talking?

Smaller would be better, to be sure. This is why the Billy Mays icon (emotion conveyed: I guarantee it!) is the most important one.

Emoticons are optional.

And people who only post in threads to use emoticons probably weren't going to say anything poignant if we didn't have emoticons.

And you can expand the pop-up emoticon window and all the big crap is under the neatly done little icons.

If only there was a way we could somehow block certain images within our browsers.

Soon the day will come when image-fu will be able to be done entirely with the emotes.

And it will be glorious

Kabbage you are a good boardsman and i really try not to bitch + moan too much, but turning every thread into 4chan reaction images thread would be completely intolerable.

You guys realize that the only reason these will be a problem is if people overuse them horribly.

Which is certainly well within the realm of possibility [JOKE ABOUT SIGNATURE THREAD GOES HERE], but that's not Kabbage's fault, same as it's not whoever-it-was' fault for turning sigs back on.
