Less eye-searing color

That hurts far less. Not sure how I feel about the black background after years of white and pink.

You should either center the header or make one that stretches the full width. Also I liked it better with a color tint than without one.

Agreed. Wasn't sure what the usual monitor resolution nowadays is, though. 900px images sound about right?

Never break 960px width. It's ideal, as you can divide it by a lot of numbers (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, etc) to easily turn it into a grid of almost any size.

Good god.

Just give me some nice, clean, sedate pastel blues, with dark clear text.

Which is what I have right now.

I, too, appreciate the use of dinosaurs.

Can I keep the adorable dinosaur?

I realize this is blasphemy, but some of us still use 1024x768 on the CRT monitors we've been using since 1998.

Futuremouse should have a fishbowl on his head. But I am not picky. You make something, I'll just bitch about it later when it's inconvenient to change.

As long as the general reaction from people reading over my shoulder isn't "Whisky Tango Foxtrot," I'm fine with cute dinosaurs or the Mouse of All Cosmos.

I had been using soft green myself ever since I had a frog avatar. And before that, classy light brown.

Ever since we had the option to change colors, I've changed colors every month. It's October, so it's pink.

So looks like people like Futuremouse concept well enough (I assume the picture too) but as a theme it's kind of sucking a D. I started adding some gradients and wireframe tiles, pushing it towards a Daft Punkish retro futurism. I think I have a better idea of where I ought to go with this now. I'll keep hacking away at at it and see if I can get something a bit more pleasing by the time we're through.

Bronto should be up either tomorrow night or Thurs, depending on what I have to do tomorrow at work.

I've been using that third color on the left.  The...grey-blue one.  I'm normally looking at everything else on a black ground with white text because I hate excessive brightness so...

Yeah, if we could get a super dark theme with light colored text, I would be all about that.

I don't know why those aggravate my eyes more than dark font on a white background.

If you look at the Brontosaurus right, he kind of looks like a headless man flexing his arms.

It looks like you're going for a kind of terminal-style dark theme with Futuremouse.  Maybe we could get something that's more white-text-on-black and less half-and-half supercontrast white/black?

I would much rather have the dinosaur than the futuremouse. Is there a way to have your choice of image, much like how you can choose your color theme? I kind of miss the original WFE logo - it was pretty simple and straightforward. Reeeaally glad the Moxie guy is gone, though.
