I had considered recommending that, but I'm not actually sure your allies don't all react to what you're doing.

But maybe this will help:
If you can save the town without any casualties amongst the townsfolk or knights, you will get a significant reward.

9 times out of 10, no matter what you do in a given location, Morrigan will disapprove.

I guess I'm really whining because I'm torn between wanting to be pals with Alistair and wanting to see Morrigan's boobs.

Just take off all her clothes in camp. Problem solved, bud up with Alistar.

Finding that too. I was hoping to be the good guy with a bad side, but she's entirely selfish with her desire for power and not wasting time for anything that isn't power.

Decided to give up the dog and replace him with Sten. Jesus Christ does Sten rape shit.

give up the dog

If every other Western RPG ever made has taught us nothing, it's that you have just given up the most powerful cohort in the world.

Butbutbut I listened to the Internet and it said the game only had two quests and the rest was hacked out by EA and turned into DLC!

I heard that if you bought it with a credit card, EA is secretly charging you a monthly fee.

After doing all the dwarf city stuff, I realized that the whole main quest really just drags on WAY too long for it to at all enjoyable.  I'm getting his feeling that the Circle of Magi's tower might be pleasant at least.  Maybe.  Since I had a mage on standby just after the Ostagar siege and had just finished the Redcliffe Castle plot on my rogue, I figured I'd be the nicest guy I could be and save as many people on my mage run as I possibly could.

I fucking love hilarious bugs, completely serious over here. I don't know if I can actually resist getting this game any longer.

I'm torn over whether I like epic quests everywhere I go, or if I hate it. On the one hand, it doesn't feel that artificial, so I only really notice when my 80 slot bag is filled up with loot and no vendor in sight because I'm halfway through the god damned dragon lair.
At the Landsmeet battle. In-fucking-furiatingly hard since I didn't give Anora my support.
So I said fuck it, I'll change the difficult to easy, since I thought I was playing on normal. No, no. I've been playing on Nightmare.  ::(:

Possibly because he let me give the chargen/intro a try, and I set it to Nightmare because I sure wasn't going to get a full playthrough there, so what the hell.

Am.. Am I history's greatest monster?

No, because I'm setting it back to Nightmare. Battle was too easy after I set it to normal.

Man, playing through the game with no healer is really fucking hard.

I've been trying to use Shale as a healer, but for some reason the gambit system breaks on Stone Aura.

How does this game run for you guys? If you're running it on low settings, does it still look okay? I've got the minimum requirements, but I also had them for Mass Effect, and while that was certainly playable, it was occasionally chuggy even with settings low to medium-low. (Also loading times OMG.)

I got the "demo" off Steam but it's just a character creator and therefore provides no indication of my machine's ability to run the dang thing.

It runs on Tyler's laptop and i am pretty certain he's below minimum settings. i can run it on max at higher-than-desktop resolution, so uh. The game is optimized pretty well i guess.

I didn't play it for more than not-very-long though, so it is possible that boss fights or battles with a lot of enemies would have made me chug. But as it stands (stood), it thought I could do middle of the road settings and it was right. I took off persistent gore but never got far enough to see if that mattered. I don't think I changed anything else.

On this laptop I have way more RAM and processing power than I'll ever need, but my graphics card is terrible. It's integrated graphics, and the best one available for VAIOs, but still terrible compared to... anything at all. I guess it looked kinda bad, but not in a way that bothered me at all. It just looked like medium setting textures. I'd take screenshots but I uninstalled it.

Mass Effect strikes me as a much more poorly made game than DAO, though.
