Somehow the inclusion of actual love scenes makes me less inclined to pursue romance in this game. I was all over Viconia though.

And honestly the fact that the population of Fereldan is evidently 100% Mormon doesn't help things.

Pursuing Aerie or Jaheira by themselves was a waste of time but pursuing them both at the same time and watching the resulting catfights was pretty damn amusing

Aerie: YOU BITCH

Jaheira: YOU VAPID IDIOT

Aerie: IT'S NOT MY FAULT I AM VAPID MY WINGS ROTTED OFF

but yeah they eventually make you choose between them, there is no "hey i slept with this other girl but that's ok right because i only love you"

Actually I'm pretty sure that Viconia will purposefully attempt to seduce you if she's with you while you're trying to get into Aerie's pants and if you do sleep with Vic, Aerie drops you like a rock the next morning and Vic laughs her ass off about it

He'd just screw you to give birth to a baby god to which to steal its powers.

Just stuff the Phoenix Down up between your legs, and the baby'll be fine!

I'm glad to see I am not the only one who hit Esc during the sex scenes. Oh cool, underwear on dramatic singing.

Do you understand how terrifying the words “vibrating strap on” are for an asexual? That’s like saying “the holocaust” to a Jew.

Depends on how much she likes you.

I've had her respond in two ways.

"I wouldn't try it..."
and
"Teehee, what an odd thing to say."

3 Quests done. Side-quests given another sweep. Onto Dalish Quest, then!
Did a few fights in Denerim. Impossible, stupid bullshit. 3+ enemy archers opening with Scattershot turn it into a fucking coin flip. Two tries on both fights. Contrast this to the Cultist Temple, where even double mage + support archer fights were tolerable because Cultist Archers don't open with consecutive Scattershot waves. Did the guys setting up Denerim miss a memo or something?

"Andraste" Dragon was pretty easy. Shale + 3 ranged again. The chain-knockdowns are irritating enough, removing the whole "guess it's time for somebody to randomly die" attack is quite needed. Besides, Rico was right: Shale's armor is way too lacking for non-Dragon fights.

I got a cut-scene + fight where a bunch of Shrieks attacked the camp. Didn't happen on my Mage playthrough. Mmm, Dynamic Content.
Wondering how high 2 Hand Warrior damage can actually get. Oghren actually pulled a lot of his own weight when I had to use him. Sword and Board warriors seem to lose steam in the second half of the game, but they're nice little controllers in the first half. I'm actually a better tank than Alistair is.

ELF QUEST DONE that was easy.

It turns out Momentum doesn't actively drain your stamina, it just slows down it's return? Leliana has Song of Valor going 24/7 so who cares, my guy who attacks twice per hit is now doing it twice as fast. Orange mobs can't last longer than ten seconds under a barrage that has me making Bzzzzzzzzzzrrrrow sounds with my lips.

Haven't tested out momentum, but it seems like with other stamina draining skills a fast enough regeneration rate will completely counter the drain. Perhaps this is what you're seeing?

Full Nightmare Difficulty Cleared as Non-Mage

I never compromised, I never shifted the difficulty, I never skipped any content I could find and I never avoided an unnecessary fight. I defeated Ser Cautherine on the first encounter, I traveled the roads often enough to pave a highway, and I did almost every side-quest.

The Arch-Demon was pretty easy, but that's what happens when you attack at 4x speed with 70% Fire Resistance and 75% Spirit Resistance.
Harrowmont's ending wasn't tragilicious at all! Just sort of stupid and tragic.

Sacrificed myself, became a paragon and saved all of the casteless, made Alistair enjoy being a good king, sent Morrigan off with full protection from Flemeth but none of my Justice Seed, and Leliana wrote the saddest song in the world for her lost love. Also somehow I allowed Shale to regain living status and earned Oghren and Sten's eternal respect.

Content Complete Across All Playthroughs: 72% what. 2/4 Romances, 2/4 Endings, 90% of the Codex entries, 64/87 Achievements in total.. have taken both routes of every major quest and even every DLC quest, gotten Traveler and Easily Side-Tracked.. does the game expect me to beat it for every origin? To get every single dialogue branch?! WHAT'S GOING AWN HEAR
Next planned play-through: Female Elven Magi, Pure Evil/Rude. I thought my first guy was a bit too pragmatic and I'd like to play with Magi and Party Set-Up again. Rolling Rogue/Warrior and getting Wynne Only, Final Destination can get a bit stale.

However, I am feeling quite full on Dragon Age! So.. extended break time. At least I can do every following play-through on Easy without an ounce of shame.

Throwing in Blood Thirst (DLC for warrior)+ Berzerk is great fun as long as you have Wynne hovering around with her heal aura, or Shale in Stone Aura mode. Doesn't work well on bosses due to damage dished out, but other nasties fall quick. No doubt would be even more awesome if I chose to go dual-wield.

Return to Ostagar delayed, "The Awakening" expansion announced for March 2010 release.

$30-$40

I want, but this game is rapidly becoming more expensive than an actual drug habit.

The option to respec is nice. I think I might wait for the 'Complete' collection in two years or so.

There's already respec mods, but a whole extra post-game campaign ... shit, I'm not done with my first one yet.  Game's LONG.
