Only problem I have with Natascha is that it's not too visually different from Sasha. I can basically never tell if a Heavy is using Natascha until I'm right bloody there and can hear the different spin noise.

I like the flaregun, but one can never actually hit anyone with a crit from it as they shoot differently, that and the fact that one rarely actually kills anyone with it directly makes me think it needs a buff in it's impact damage.  Hell, I'd be fine with it if it just shot a little faster.

I didn't mean that Natascha and the flaregun are awful, they just are the two items out right now that I think need a slight buff/moderate tweak.  The C&D, which on paper is my favorite spy watch but functionally isn't as viable as the others, also belongs on the list.

They buffed the impact damage from 20 to 30, if you actually hit them with it while they're already on fire it mini-crits AND increases the fire intensity by 1.5. The Flare-Gun is perfectly fine.

Just to put this in perspective, if you hit any non-Demo-or-Tuffer class twice with the flare-gun, they will probably die if they can't find health/water. It's a terrifically effective Scout finisher. It's also pretty great against the tough classes because they're so slow that you can hit them with it more than twice and really ruin their day.

Yeah, flare gun seems solidly effective now that they boosted the impact damage. I used to completely blow off being hit with the flare gun, but you actually notice it now.

Yeah, this morning when I was fooling around with it on an arena server, I shot someone on fire with it and was "Oh, neat.  Mini crit."

A week ago, before I saw the weapon unlocks, I concluded to myself that the new weapons will be milestone-unlocked as well as random-dropped.  I promised myself that I wouldn't achievement farm to get them.

These new weapons are seriously challenging my willpower.

Good thing I have to work tonight.  When I get home, people will have already played with the new stuff by achievement whoring and I can get an idea of how it all works.

I have work until late tonight, and then early tomorrow.  But that just means all the crafting recipes will be waiting for me, I'll have an extra little bushel of idled items, and I won't have to deal with server headaches.  I think it won't be that agonizing.   :perfect:

Yeah, impact damage from the flare gun is good enough that you can kill other pyros with it, it's pretty all right now.

It's live and the Soldier won boots that reduce his rocket jump damage but occupy his Shotgun/Bugle slot.

Fascinating. Not sure how the Demo could've enjoyed those boots: You need your sticky launcher to sticky jump and giving up the Pipe Bomber would've been a really bad scene. So God Speed, Soldiers.

Apparently, by the math, Demos had 1900 more kills than Soldiers, but Soldiers made up for it in Propaganda??? Weird!

Here's hoping milestones are in or that I craft something worth using!

Had the Demo won, they probably would have been primary-slot.

Anyway. I got a Buff Banner! But until the class distribution returns to normal levels, I can't tell how effective it is. Going without a shotgun is kind of hellish, and it seems to take about five or six kills to charge the bugle, and when I actually got around to using it once all my allies ran away and then I got shot. But the minicrit bonus does apply to the person who uses the bugle, which is really cool.

Seems like it'd be most effective in conjunction with a Medic to help make sure you live long enough to fill up the rage meter.

Okay, we already knew about the new stuff. Bots are cool, Spy tweaks are as they should have been in the first place, Sandman nerf, auto-calling, a bunch of crazy tweaks...
