I liked that one with the tree, and that first one with the water and over-abundance of pillars was tolerable.  The others are shit.

In spite of everything, I think it was worthwhile to try the maps.

I might've liked the tree one more if it wasn't so poorly optimised. I was basically getting about 3 frames per second on that map.

I agree that trying them out was a good idea.  Might of been better to space em' out over a few days though, so that each one can be looked at with a fresh mindset.  Maybe the other ones were better but by then I am pretty sure everyone was just blown out by CTF meat grinder gameplay.

ctf_cesspool_b1 (sewer)
ctf_deliverance_b3 (single-intel delivery)
ctf_cloudburst_b4 (rainbow + snow)
ctf_landfall_b1 (big tree)

people liked landfall and cloudburst more I think

I have now seen LOLCANO in action, and it is amazing and hilarious. The map is a deathtrap, but it's a deathtrap in a predictable way (DON'T GO IN THE LAVA, STUPID), more importantly it's damn funny and a load of fun.

Seriously recommend giving it a try.

edit: Testing rock outcroppings for wicked sentry placements now...

I rocket jumped around on lolcano by myself and it doesn't looke too bad, and you guys need some fresh maps even if they aren't as good as Cashwerks or swiftwater.

CTF Atrophy

It has a unique gimmick, each intel base is on a cart which moves towards the center of the map, making it very hard to turtle

the cart resets after the intel that belongs on it is capped

rounds are very short compared to other ctf maps
