I'm not sure if this counts as "terrible," but what the heck.

My prot paladin's been running around wearing Flintlocke's Piloting Pants for a while now, and that's worked out mostly alright. They had better stats and looked nicer than whatever bright green trousers I had on before.

Then she got these.

I've had some skimpy armor before, but I'm pretty sure this takes the cake. Why don't we just take Princess Leia's slave outfit, weld a couple studs over the nipples, and call it a day?

It's hard to say whether skimpy "armor" in fantasy persists due to pandering, parody of pandering, or just tradition at this point.

So, I'm in Gadgetzan buying the Philosopher's Stone recipe on my Death Knight.  Am sapped immediately after buying it, and a Ret Paladin and the Rogue absolutely wreck me before the Cheapshot wears off.

I res and remount behind the building since there's a nice little hill that ramps up to the city wall, and I figure I can just clear that and hearth back to Dalaran.

THAT WAS NOT THE CASE.

The Rogue (Gankmöde) was already mounted and following me, and shortly after I cleared the wall, she Throws, and I get Crippling Poison and he closes the gap quite a lot, but not quite enough to stun.  She Throws again and mounts, but does not close the gap enough.  We're both running at equal speed, and she's out of range for anything, and nothing is going to daze an 80 short of running through CoT, so I was expecting her to give up but had a contingency plan.

Hung a sharp left and tried to get her to clip on some mountains but she was paying too much attention and ready for me to run out of real-estate.  I could almost picture her licking her lips a little when we came up on the coastline just north of the pirate cove.

At which point I pop Path of Frost and run right out into the ocean.  She flounders around on her mount for a minute while I keep running.  I get a good distance out and start casting Death Gate, figuring I'd just fly over to Hinterlands to keep picking flowers.

Right as I go to click on the portal, I see her glyphed Sprinting over the water towards me, and I give her one, last, hard-earned /laugh before clicking away to Acherus.

Sleeping through Halls of Stone as the tank and wondering why decent ret paladin dps is constantly stealing aggro. Don't really care that much. Clear Maiden and Stone Giant guy. Stone Giant sets off a red flag when he pulls aggro with "just" an exorcism after my Heroic-Throw/Charge/Shield Slam/Devastate combo.

Doot Doot, Recount. Oh, hello there Hand of Reckoning. Become even more sloppy and half-asleep. The best DPS, a 5k rogue, is Tricksing me every time it's up so I figure the paladin is a big boy. He stops after the first death.

You could only help him with a clean death.

Barb and I did our Daily random today. Him on his warrior tanking and I on my rogue.

Disc. Healer was half asleep the entire time and Battlemaster Warlock would attack whatever he wanted because he could, I guess?

But what takes the cake for me is that the 5th member was a Unholy Death Knight with 4/5 T9 DPS set and a Quel'Delar two hander. Doing less AoE damage than me per pull and doing about 1.6k damage on bosses.

I just have to keep telling myself that kids do indeed play this game.

So, I finally got a warrior to 80 a few days ago. I've been gearing up fast, trying to get to the point where I can raid ASAP. I've been burning through random heroics, and ended up getting dumped into my first Halls of reflection run - with the In Progress message.

So I come in, and the DPS announce: "The last tank had to go, we wiped after the first boss." A little worrisome, but I get fired up to get things done, get buffed up, and am sitting at a nice 42k HP. Between my high HP, respectable armor, and pure avoidance of about 45%, I'm figuring that HOR will be easy.

We wipe on wave two after the healer stops healing me - he claims lag, so I keep my mouth shut. We come back, make it three waves in, and the healer stops healing me again. I pop last stand, enraged regeneration, shield block, and hold up without heals for about 20 seconds straight - finally dying when last stand wore off. I had around 55k max HP at that time.

I ask the healer what happened, why I went so long without being healed, and there was two excuses. Excuse 1; Your gear is so terrible (I'm a little undergeared, but I think 42k buffed is more than enough for HOR... Considering I've done it with worse geared tanks) and Excuse 2; The DPS were taking damage, so they needed heals. Maybe you should do your job...

so I go back and look at recount. That pull, I'd marked a priest, mercenary, and mage to be killed, and only devastated on those enemies, relying on Tclap and Shockwave to hold threat on the 2 footmen who were up. It turns out the DPS death knight in the group had spent the entire fight DPSing on one of the footmen, had aggro on the footmen, and got aggro back every time I taunted it off him.

Checking the healing meters, our priest had done an amazing 3k HPS (Considering his gearscore was around 5k, I was unimpressed) of which 60% had been done on the DPS death knight. Who was attacking the wrong mob.

But this was my fault, apparently, because I'm wearing a blue necklace and wasn't holding good threat.

Didn't they just nerf HoR? And my warrior did it with like, 33k buffed. Terrible healer is terrible.

Devastates on multiple targets is a metric fuck-ton of threat, so that DK had to be full blown retarded. I usually consider all those things unpeelable after the Shockwave alone...

Is there anything funnier than clicking on recount a few times and seeing -15/-20 seconds next to your last heal received? "I dunno what happened" indeed.

Wow, five consecutive ICC5 PUGs that failed so horribly i dropped before a single boss, with issues ranging from a tank in FOS that just stood and repeatedly sundered one mob out of every pack, leaving me and the boomkin to tank the rest, to a resto shaman unable to heal Falric, to someone from mirror universe WoW -- a prot paladin who queued as DPS and told me he did good enough damage that it would work out ok.

Between this and the fact that i'm never going to see the inside of ICC i am kinda contemplating uninstalling.

Without actually endorsing you quitting until Cataclysm, the game doesn't have a whole lot to offer non-altaholics who don't actively raid right now, it's true.

If you didn't like alting before, though, you might want to try it, given that you can get a character from 1-80 and fully geared in about 3 weeks now.

Epic flight will always be a bit of a bitch, IMO.

I just got flight on my Death Knight and even though they've changed it from the biggest anti-climax in the game, it still feels like crawling. I'm just glad I don't have 310% to contrast.

Getting an epic mount at 40 is nice, and regular flight is 150% speed now. You won't feel the loss of the epic flyer after the first 20 levels in classic content. Just don't go back to your main until you're level 70. =p

I think he's complaining that 150 percent, as opposed to dropping 15000G to get all three of them to 280 percent, is terribly slow.
