Interesting. I'm not sure that I agree with it entirely, but it does make one or two criticisms I've been feeling as I'm playing through the thing. I actually found the exaggerated propaganda of the Wounded Knee bit to be really unsettlingly effective, and at more than just establishing villainy. If I have any complaint it's that those sequences assume the player knows what happened at wounded knee. Which you'd think would be a safe assumption, but... yeah. After looking at most of the responses to the critique here I'm surprised anyone playing this game has enough brainstem to keep their heart and lungs working.
Seriously, the comment section on that article is embarrassing as fuck. What could have been an interesting conversation is just assholes yelling at the author for being "pretentious" and "not getting it." I know that not all videogame fans are squealing, retarded infants, but this shit doesn't help.
