Gettin' In Shape!
« on: January 28, 2010, 05:42:12 PM »

I never realized just how much I used my legs until today, when I had to go up and down three flights of stairs after an hour-long conditioning session yesterday morning.

I felt like Professor X.  ::(:

Coffins are at their most efficient if you're fat enough to fill them entirely; a skinny person wastes a lot of space. Alternatively, you get more BTU for your buck if you're extremely chubby at the time of cremation.

On the other hand, if you want to lose weight, being put on a diet where you can barely chew food and are only allowed to drink water, no coffee, no tea, no soda, no juice, god damn it only water, is

Not at all effective I'm actually gaining weight.

What.

Has your activity level gone way down, alternatively are you taking in more calories through the barely chewable food? The answer is yes to one of these.

Well I've had a debilitating cold ever since some asshole held my mouth open for four hours straight, so I'd have to go with yes on the first one.

Also, your protein intake is probably WAY down, which has the double effect of not allowing your body to break up fat cells for energy and making you really fucking tired.

I would recommend starting your day with a delicious fiber/protein bar!

I've been slowly getting in better shape for about a year now. I lost 35 lbs last year at about 1lb a week when I wasn't slacking off and a little fall back during the holidays. I've hit a bit of a plateau, but I think that's related to less sleep and worse eating related to my nursing program. I'm going to try to up my cardio to high intensity interval training soon and see if that helps me break though.

I'm going to keep going until I'm  :HUGE:

Oh nobody actually BUYS protein bars geez

Peanuts are apparently the most healthy/satisfying snack food. I've been going that angle with tea/water since forever and I'm basically the world's most attractive man. Learning how to cook is a pretty big deal too.

I love protein bars, but I'm pretty sure if I bit into one right now I'd just get a protein bar with five faux-teeth stuck in it.
