3 bars from 83.  Fuck my schedule this week.

Everybody says Vash'jir is better than Hyjal and I haven't done Vash'jir so I can't dispute that ("rushing" to Therazane quests thx) but that Hyjal music was pretty baller.

Mostly I just care about getting to 85 by the end of next week for PvPnis, and then will proceed to working on the new Zin'Rokh, to replace the one I never got in classic argh fuck you game

80% to 85, the quest to get to the only area I have left to level is broken.

Farm while waiting for instance queues.

95% to 85 server hiccups and now I can't log back in to that character until a GM reads my petition.

Vash'jir looks beautiful, but I can't get past the event where you guard the Immortal Coil - as a shadowpriest I'm not really cut out to fight two or three naga at the same time, but at the same time I can't actually avoid them because the area of the event is so small that I keep accidentally moving outside it by just trying to not be right in the middle of all the god-damned spawns. And I think it just flat-out bugged on me at least once.

The worst part is that I can't actually say with any confidence that there are any bugs with the event - it's just not balanced right.

Guarding the immortal coil is more or less automated - after the nagas spawn, they will immediately deaggro you and aggro the nearest guards. Pick one fight at a time and don't use abilities that draw attention to yourself (aoe, healing etc) immediately after a spawn. You don't have to hold out for very long.

"Since my posts within this thread have not only been all encompassing, answered all questions without a doubt, but also did so with a certain flair and style that has quite frankly impressed everyone who has laid eyes upon them, I am now locking this thread*.

I may take a nap. Making something this amazing really takes it out of you.

*Actually it's because people are bickering pointlessly and the OPs concern has been entirely refuted/overblown/explained/beaten with a stick/fawned over/loved/hated/snuggled-with."

Completed Vash'jir and Hyjal. Thinking of hitting Deepholm next.

Vash overall was awesome, but the end of Hyjal was pretty spectacular.

Bonus points: Newbies dying during the Geddon fight, not understanding what he was doing :whoops:

I honestly had no problems with Vashjir up until Ascend No More, which was less a phasing issue and more just flat out bug with respawns.

That and the quest thing, which has already been fixed.

So yes it's buggy.

I finally sorted out that defense of the Immortal Coil thing by, instead of fighting as is thematically appropriate, ignoring the fight and just healing the fuck out of myself.

Then the naga picked me up and carried me away and got killed and dropped me, all according to script, and then I died of falling damage.

In Vash'jir.

Still have an outstanding GM ticket to report that. Turns out they're experiencing high traffic! Who knew?

I also had a chance to try archaeology briefly, and as an actual real-life student of archaeology, I was delighted to find that it's about the best possible game implementation of archaeology you could reasonably expect. Right down to the part where you do the same thing for hours and get a minor reward which is thematically delightful but for which you receive a pittance!  :perfect:
