That's odd, it gave me a value of $0.

It recognizes my Steam ID page, which isn't private, but doesn't see any games.

You can see for yourself

Also this thing doesn't seem to recognize DLC.

So add $50 or so to whatever I said before.

It's fun to run the calculator on Valve employees.

Huh. Not only does it not see any of my games, but it also says I've been a steam member since 1970. Amazing feat, that, considering steam wasn't around then and I hadn't been born yet. My profile is public, so I think something is amiss with the site itself.

Mount & Blade plus Mount & Blade: Warband pack for £7.50 for the next six hours. Good time to buy if you've been holding out for some reason.

PhoenixUltima: UNIX dates are stored in seconds since 1970. This is why you'll see dates of 1970 when there's an error and the date can't be retrieved, rather than the year 0000 or something.

I'm grateful to steam this year for making it so easy to dismiss their sales.

I would honestly be pulling the same shit as last year if I were sitting at home staring at my budget sheet, but I'm not, so I guess that's one good thing about spending the holidays in the middle of Cousinfuck, Tennessee.

I have the budget this year, but my work schedule doesn't permit me to sit at home and stare at/be tempted by the deals

Bought Mass Effect for £5, Mass Effect 2 for £10. At the current rate I'll play the first one by 2014

I'm glad that Valve decided to drop that ugly as shit storybook layout, but of course now I have no idea what's on sale (because the Specials list is choked with indie shovelware).

Meanwhile, I'm glad I decided to pass on Bioshock 2 for ten, because apparently Amazon's got it on their download marketplace for five.  The gauntlet has been cast.

I still see the storybook, which I actually like.

I guess it just disappears for a bit while they're updating it.  Bluh.

Still a load of crap.  I'd get New Vegas if there was any chance I'd actually play it this year.

Well you only have 7 days left, so I don't think you could either.

I am really getting pissed at this sale. I want to buy the X-Com games, but there is that small chance that the entire pack goes on sale for like 2 bucks.

So wait until the last day, and if the pack doesn't go on sale, buy them then.

I always have a strange relationship with Steam Sales. I don't look at them kindly. I look at them as traps, trying to getme to waste money, or spend more money on packs that include games, I'll never play, even if those packs are cheap. Or throw away 5 on a game I am vaguely interested in but will sit there uninstalled for years. If I give in, I lose money, not save it.

Though going pretty good this year. The only game I got that I might never actually play or like is Reccettear. Still feels like a moment of weakness, but I suppose I can afford my self one.
