I already have Hoard. If you're thinking "hey, a game with controller support!" then don't. Otherwise it's exactly what it says on the box.

Also, for the next week everything by Arcen Games is 50% off. These are the same guys that made AI War: Fleet Command, which I told everyone to buy a while back. It's still a great game. And now it has more stuff (that's what Arcen does - they keep adding more stuff).

That's all Hoard is, so you'll probably enjoy it. I am just frustrated because my controller worked just fine for the demo and now it doesn't work at all for the full version.

Heh, the Daily Deal box is gone today.  Did they get tired of it already?

Nah, there's still a daily deal. Not sure why the box isn't there.

Today's deal is L4D2 at 66% off. Is this the first time it's been a game people have heard of before it was a daily deal?

They had Kane & Lynch 2 the other day, but it's Kane & Lynch 2, so nobody was really paying attention.

I will always remember Kane & Lynch 2 as the game that they couldn't even pay people for good reviews.

Hm, is it an Xinput thing?  Because I got my Cordless Rumblepad 2 to work with Witcher 2 using x360ce.

I'm not sure. With most games that have controller support I can just plug my controller in a usb port and play. I've never had to install anything special for it to work (except for Windows's automatic driver-finder thing). Apparently, back when I played the demo Hoard was good for some controllers but not all. They updated it to make it good for more controllers, but whatever they did ruined it for some people who could previously use a controller.

Hm.  That doesn't really sound like an Xinput-versus-DirectInput issue (if they already had DirectInput support I don't know why they'd drop it, even if they added Xinput support -- as far as I know the two don't conflict), but I suppose it still could be.  Might be worth checking out x360ce anyway, but don't spend too much time on it if it doesn't work.  (I found I had to run Witcher 2 as an admin to get it to work but other than that it worked fine out of the box.)

I'll give it a shot and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion!

It's a solid game for that price. I'd suggest it if you don't have it already.
