Think I'll be grabbing Oddbox and Duke Nukem today, at least.

Eversion is for 75% off. Dungeons of Dredmor is 50% off and worth way more than that.

The DLC for F:NV is also 75% off, and as far as I know they're not going to release any more, so if you were waiting for all the DLC to come out and the game to go on sale (and you actually managed to wait instead of buying the game during an earlier sale like I did), rejoice, for thy day hast come at last! Hallelujah!

on the fence whether I should buy the half life 1 anthology for 50% off now or just wait if there's any one day sales that interest me before the 28th, or play any one of the untouched steam purchases I've bought during sales.

What's the DRM situation on the Steam versions of Dead Space 1 and 2?  The games are five bucks apiece right now, and I want to know if starting them up will be a giant pain in the ass.

As a guy who owns both Dead Spaces it shouldn't be more complicated than making a Games for Windows Live account or something. It's just EA accounts which are easier.

Also Dead Space games are really good for $20 games, really great for $5 games.

As I said in my Steam review though, bring a pad. Dead Space 1 (the only one I played so far) has the absolute worst mouse acceleration I have ever seen. It is straight up unplayable without a pad.

There is a way to fix it to make it bearable.  I think it had something to do with changing some settings on your GPU.  I recall going into my Nvidia settings and changing something.  I played Deadspace with a mouse and it was quite bearable although somewhat sluggish.

Dead Space is fine with a mouse? Then again your enemies can be frozen and the best way to fight multiple enemies is to force them to come to you while matching your weapons to the appropriate types so maybe we were playing different games.

It's that time again!  Time to rack your brains coming up with ten games to put on your wishlists.

Sometimes I get the feeling that Steam is telling me what I want to play, not the other way around.

Well, it does have that "featured" section on the main page.

Luckily I already had ten games I kind-of want left over from summer.

Click by genre, top-sellers, whatever I'm interested in but is outside of my "two games a year at $60 release price" policy.

And even then I just stretch it to stuff I wouldn't mind trying and owning.

Glad I'm not the only one having trouble rounding out a list of ten. Is it just 'cause I buy every god damn thing that's on sale? Perplexing.

I actually have a decent spread of games I'd legitimately like to play: LA Noire, Sonic Generations, Serious Sam 3, Saints Row 3, Deus Ex, Fable. Then stuff I wouldn't mind trying like Fear and Dead Island or maybe a Lord of the Rings RTS. But they're all $50 or more so fuck that, they're not Bat Man.

But then you get to stuff like Witcher 2 and it's like "I still haven't touched Witcher 1 from last year, Steam!"

Fuck, I don't even know how to play as much Skyrim as I want without just quitting my job and hiding in my house for the rest of the month.

I'm actually making progress in my backlog!  I finished Crisis Core and started Ghostbusters.  Don't think I'll be buying any more crap on Steam for the nonce; aside from Ghostbusters I've got the Zeboyd Games bundle and this thing called Aversion or something.  On PSP I've still got FFT, FF1, maybe another playthrough of MMX as Vile, am stuck on Yellow Devil in MMPU, and haven't finished Castlevania.  And frankly there's a hell of a lot more Crisis Core that I'll probably chip away at when I've got a few minutes of free time.

Amazon's marked down Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Duodenum.  Guess I could try the latter out but I think I should hold off on the former until I've finished the Tactics game I've already got.

If I ever do.  I have a tendency to quit Tactics somewhere in the Deep Dungeon.
