Saw your name in some credits the other night, BTW.  Way to be in some credits.

I always forget how, like... into gaming i am when it's not comparing wishlists. i don't think there's a single game on steam's frontpage i DON'T want to try, even if it's just to see what it's about.

So now would be a good time to be told if Dungeon Siege III really wasn't that great because I'm pretty tempted for today's deal.

All I remember hearing is that the multiplayer might as well not exist, because it's so incredibly poorly designed.

uh, i was interested in it as a co-op game but in co-op mode, the partner character is even more of a slave than in Fable 2. you can't get loot or even level up in someone else's game. you're a worthless hireling.

i don't have much faith in a game that puts so little thought into an entire game mode.

I wish they'd put Army of Two on the PC. Those were actually pretty okay co-op games.

40% off The Witcher 2. Highly recommend. Recently a major content patch came out adding a whole slew of things, including better difficulty balancing and tutorial in the early parts of the game, as well as a new difficulty setting, and an arena to fuck around in. Making what was already the best PC RPG of 2011 even better.

Cheating yourself out of something great if you don't play this.

I will see if those changes make me actually want to play this game, because god if I didn't feel angry and tricked when a bunch of you said Witcher 2 fixed a bunch of the early bullshit that made Witcher unfun.

The GOG version has the same discount. Buy directly from the developers!

Steam apparently started bugging out a bit ago.

I was able to get the Dead Island four pack for twenty bucks before they fixed that, but other things are still showing up oddly so keep an eye out and you might get lucky.

Looks like Valve's busy setting up the fuckin storybook thing again.

PREPARE YOUR WALLETS FOR THE RECKONING

(I really, really can't fit any more games into my backlog.)

I have too many games but I'll buy more bullshit anyway

Though at this point I'm hard pressed to find a game on steam that I want and don't already own. My wishlist is full of shit I want, but I had to struggle to get the 10.

I'll probably grab the Super Indie Bundle before this is all over. I only own one of those games, and I have an interest in most of them. Fuck.

Oh gog I was right

They added Deus Ex (and that other game) to the Squeenix pack.

My backlog is about to become just completely disgusting.

(Amusingly, they seem to have dropped Arkham Asylum from it, which conveniently removes my OTHER qualm about the bundle.)

Hey, if anyone gets one, I'm looking for a coupon for THQ or for Saints Row 3 in general.

Similarly, I'd be interested in any coupon that lets me get Skyrim or Assassin's Creed: Revelations cheaper.

Yeah, I don't know if I ever congratulated you for having your name on Crisis Core, but I totally saw that too.

I had absolutely shit-all to do with the actual game on that.  I mean, I had absolutely shit-all to do with any of them, but on that one in particular they did actually let one of us QA guys have a major say in the design.  In particular, the American Hard Mode was heavily tweaked based on his feedback, which is why its difficulty curve ended up looking like a BASE jump once you get (that one core game mechanic that you can't use until halfway through the game which is fine because it becomes trivial to pump yourself up to God Tier with it after that if you're at all capable of abusing it).

Also they literally pulled the plug on me while I was fighting Hard Minerva.  Kind of stupidly upset about that.
