Hey man, I've paid more for worse games than Sanctum. Battlefield 3 comes to mind.

Sanctum would have been okay if not for the idiotic fucking decision that you have to maze in 1st person mode even though there's a really good overhead view built into the engine.

I actually didn't mind that. I think it was the lack of enemy variety that eventually killed it for me.

I'm sure the answer to this is hiding in the DRM thread, but does the Steam version of Assassin's Creed games have Ubisoft's big dumb stupid DRM?

I don't have it, but the only Ubisoft game I do have does, so I imagine yes

Used to!  But don't anymore.

Do you know if this is for all games or just AC? I've avoided Ubisoft games for a while because the DRM annoys me on principle

God damn it Steam, do you have to put two monotone indie games together like that?  It's just making my blood pressure spike.

If they make a pack out of them I might just :scanners:.

Yeah, but if you buy it you're putting money in the pockets of the people who made Samus go from the strongest female image in gaming to a DOA character, so.

DoA characters may have boob physics, but at least they're, you know, strong and independent. Other M Samus is so bad I'm surprised she didn't trip while running away from Ridley

Look, Bal - like every strong woman, Samus was just waiting for a man to save her.

I've actually rediscovered how pissed I am about Metroid: Other M recently. Pretty upset about the whole thing, yeah.

I got:

Batman: Arkham City (awesome!)
Blades of Time (not tried yet, prequel X-Blades sucks hard but had enough potential to make me curious about the follow-up)
Dark Souls (not on sale, I just happened to notice the preorders were open)
Evochron Mercenary (done tutorial only; I figure I'll be in the mood for what it is sooner or later)
Legend of Grimrock (awesome!)
Ninja Blade (so bad it's good, don't buy it for more than 5 dollars but I'd recommend it for less)
Prince of Persia: The One Without A Subtitle (not tried yet)
Sequence (pretty good)
Yar's Revenge (meh, I like a rail shooter but this one is astonishingly basic, and the use of the license is an ill-thought-out cash grab)
Ys: The Oath in Felghana (awesome!)
Ys Origin (not tried yet)

I think I've managed to restrain myself to stuff I'll actually play this time, so yeah, this was a good one.
