I don't have any coupons but I'll throw my 2 cents in. If you like COD's style that's fine, but black ops is widely considered to be bad by cod players that I've seen. I didn't have too big a problem with it, except that every server is 24/7 nuketown because you can literally get kills by standing where you spawn and chucking grenades halfway across the map and that's how people powerlevel. Also the game is probably dead/dying/bleeding heavily now that MW3 is out.

Also for what it's worth gamestop sells dvd-roms of black ops that activate on steam for $50 or at least the gamestop near me does. If you happen to have gift cards or there's a sale or something that might be an option if you can't find a coupon.

I've heard Battlefield 3 multiplayer is better because all the jocks are on MW2, but I don't have any science to support this.

Midweek Madness: DNF is $5, the two DLC packs are $2.50 each.

Doctor who cloned me shows promise, imo.

It's still not cheap enough. I got it for free and I still don't feel like redeeming the key.

Shatter is the daily deal today. If you haven't had enough Arkanoid/Breakout in your life yet it is a great game.

10am is when Steam's "day" starts. So any weekend specials/daily sales end there and the newest batch comes up. (See: Winter/Summer sales)

Steam itself is always a little slow and glitchy when updating this, resulting in incongruities like the games that were on sale during the weekend appearing on sale for 0% off for a few minutes.

I don't know what that is, but it sounds like something I want more than anything.

So I picked up the Jedi Knight pack. Is the dark forces era worth playing through or should I just go straight to outcast / academy?

Dark Forces 2 was cool back in the day, but it is suffering from no music in the steam version. You can find it on the steam forums though. It's great just for the silly live action cutscenes. Otherwise I think the game is mostly nostalgia. Hell, the whole series is nostalgia, judging from reading a thread about this very topic elsewhere.

Shit I slept too late and I missed buying this.

Play the hell out of dark forces 2 and Jedi Knight 2 and revel in the dismemberment we just plain don't get in lightsaber games these days.

If you don't already own Plants vs Zombies, it's two whole dollars on Steam right now.

Dark Forces II was on sale?

Well shit... that's like the first game I can think of in forever I would have thrown a few bucks on. It was fun and I never got to finish it. The other games would have just been kinda gravy.
